New Car motorway miles will it cause damage?

I have just ordered a Fab VRS. I do 100 miles a day on the motorway will this cause damage to the engine whilst I'm running it in?

Nope,

Follow the guidelines in the manual about not using max revs for the first 1000 miles or so, and you'll be fine.

Cruising along a motorway should be perfect for running it in.

Enjoy :)

I Agree.!!!

Wont do it any harm..

Cheers

Nope it will love it

I do about 70 miles a day and she loves it, and so do I, still enjoy driving it.

When running your car in on motorway miles, just be careful to alter the engine speeds with fairly frequent gear changes.

Steve

At least doing 100 miles a day yours will be runin in a couple of weeks :D , when I get mine it will probably take me 2 months :( .

Visit some friends on the other side of the country thats what I did

Only thing is it will take longer (in terms of miles) for the engine to be properly run-in, and in particular other components such as brakes. If you drive anything like me you won't even have any dust on the wheels after 1000 miles!

Agree with Steve_vRS, an engine should be subjected to load (acceleration) and varying engine speeds rather than constant revs during run-in. Also if you sit on the mway in 5th you're not using your gearbox either... Why not do 50 miles mway, 50miles A road?
