new car price...

Featured Replies

ok been having a debate wether my mate is telling porkies or not. he wants a NEW alfa 156 saloon 1.6TS now its

I read in today's Independent that the 166 - which is on its way out - is available new at a very low price. For example, a 2.0TS is for sale by Available Car 0870 460 8627 for

The 166 is actually a nice car for an Alfa. The 156, though a nice car to drive, is a "traditional" Alfa -with all the weird problems that the name comes with.......

Was looking at a Lambourgini the other week, (was actually looking at a Masseratti when I saw it), and was surprised to see all the same Alfa controls as a colleagues Alfa - not very impressed but the MAsseratti was a different story.

A work pal has one (the 166) and in a string of Alfa's he's owned I think its been the best. Its a 3.0 V6 though, who'd want a n/a four pot in a car that size?!

My brother had a 156 for a time. Loved the way the car went. Hated the rattles, squeaks, leaks, crunches, trim falling off etc. Best thing about it..its Italian, worst thing...its Italian (built quality)

My old boss had a 166 3.0l V6 lusso model... leather and all the toys... and the engine noise... id buy one just for the noise! :)
