After much deliberation regarding tyres, and studying the thread in the Octavia II section, I have gone for the Avon ZZ3's.

Should be arriving tomorrow, then maybe the weekend get them fitted.

Nice one. I was very impressed with them..... Even got a text message the morning they were delivered making sure i was ok for delivery that day or whether i wanted them delivering at a later date!!!

Michelle waited in all day for them, as they were supposed to be delivered today

Gave them a ring at 6pm, and it turns out the courier supposedly attempted delivery at 17:04, but no one was in.

Funny as I was on the drive, cleaning the car at that time, lying sods

Delivery is now going to be tomorrow at my work

Having them fitted wednesday mate, its my birthday so having the day off. Been polishing the alloys and sealing them this weekend actually. Also removed bump strips and primered them, ready to paint when i get home from work. Was going to get vrs bump strips, but they were £88 from local stealers, then paint would take it to £206! So removed my strips and done it myself at a total cost of £30 :-)

Take your time with them mate..... and make sure you get a good finish. It'll be well worth it in the end.

Looks spot on On a par with a VRS.

Agree it would look better lowered with those alloys on

What offset are the BBSes Damo?

Oh, and definitely drop it a little. Eibachs/Koni FSDs would be my choice, so you get the benefit of lowering, but also the benefit of improved damping over standard. Not sure whether they're available for your particular model, but someone like Sarah at Awesome would be able to tell you.
