WAKEUPYOURCAR Remaps

Recommended Posts

Just been and got my exhaust sorted by LTC tyres in Brierley Hill,West Mids, and they are using wakeupyourcar remaps. They have quoted a 35-40 bhp increase usually £299 but as they are new customers they are doing a special price of £250+VAT. They download your standard map send it off to wuyc who store it adjust it then send it back for download .

Anybody know who supplies their softwear are they any good?

Don't touch them with a very long bargepole.........

That's all I can say for legal reasons.

Why have you heard of them?

Quite often these companies that send the maps off for alterations are quite good. The company who i have not heard of obviously doesn't know how to alter the map themselves, So they send it to a company who does.It would help if you knew who supplied the files but they may not let you know.

Mine for example was a postal remap which cost £100. I know exactly who supplies the file and i know its of excellent quality.

I have one thing to say about anyone who's claiming 35 to 40 brake from a generic remap - Jackanory!
Does that comment apply to the 150bhp variants of the 1.8T engine?

Blatant plug yea but i can vouch for the quality of the map though as mine has done a good 10k on one of Wills maps with no issues at all

Cheers Matt!

Just letting members know, as not everyone see's our forum section.

We specialise in the VAG group, with a vast knowledge of the ECU's used, and with a proper workshop with state of the art Dyno. So when we offer members better prices than unheard of tuners it makes sense

Think I will have to arrange a Dyno day soon so we can meet a few members?

Please do.

We don't get them in the midlands very often so you should get a fair few takers

ECU EVOLUTION ?:thumbdwn:

i got my car postal mapped by these and the first map i got back was great up to 3000rpm then it surged on of boost all the way up.never got to the end of it tried new coil packs all the usual failures pipework etc, bosch dv was perfect ended up sending it back to them as they reckon they had a new map to try as they have had a similar issue with another vrs.

map no 2 .car drives crap more flat spots than ever(big ones) but the car boosts ok but its not as powerful on the boost as map 1 was .tell you the truth seems pretty standard but with flat spots to die for making it unpleasant to drive

i have full vagcom and vwtools and digimoto still cannot find any problems must be bad maps a mix of the two maps might make a good one

need to take it elsewere i think and put it down to experience as im sick of waiting 3 to 4 days for the ecu back of them

  • 3 months later...

As Paul hasn't been on in a while i maybe able to help with this. I was in touch with Paul (Gathy), we exchanged vag-com logs and he checked his pipes and found a split one, i think it was one under the inlet manifold. Once changed he said he thought the car was a lot better and the flat spots had disappeared. He was going to test it some more but hasn't got back to me yet.
