A touch of elegance

Featured Replies

Hi all

I've just added what I think is a touch og elegance to my Elegance. I know quite a few of you will think it is somewhat oldfashon, but then again I am getting dangerously close to being half a century old myself.

The car is only 3 weeks old. I could not resist bying the memory driver seat, and I love it. My wife and I both drive the car and she is something like 5 inches shorter than me and only a bit over half my weight. It is very nice to just enter the car, start it up and drive, instead of fiddling with the seat and mirrors long time before being able to drive it.

The decor I've added is from Prewoodec: Fahrzeuginnenausstattungen / Armaturenbrettdekore / CarDesign and comes in several different colors. It fits nicely and sticks really good. The finish is excellent. The only problem with this kit is that it does not come with the two decor bits for the ashtray and bottleholder in the back, but still it does look good.

Replace the silver trim on the dash and doors, it looks silly the way it is now.

I would have gotten aluminium trim or something to match the existing pieces.

Not my cup of tea - but I do like the chrome rings around the heating controls....

The wood effect is nice but would be nicer if you can replace the silver dash trims with the same stuff IMO.

Steve

Looks ok.

i would never do that...

bring back the Rover days!

does anyone know how easy/hard it is to replace the trim around the dash/doors? ive thought about getting VRS trim for mine as it brightens it up a bit.

I'm quite impressed with that. Seems to suit the auto box.

I think you just need to pry them out and pop in the new ones.

If you're going to do wood in an Octy II I'd say Ebony in a high piano gloss.

Not my cup of tea at all I'm afraid.

does it come with some beige slacks?

The interior looks so cool, right?

Don't like wood in a car, it looks tacky to me.

But thats just my taste.

The problem is that I've not been able to find anybody that makes the necesarry trim pieces in wood effect. If I do I willl replace them.

I have never liked aluminum in a car so I certainly would not bye that.

The excisting trim isn't silver trim either, it is kind of a silver with small black squares.

I really wish the radio surround was the same as the x pattern silver trim on the doors. :(

I'dd love to see how one looks with piano black/carbon fiber trim center console and dash/door accent pieces.

Not sure I'll like it, but...

Me too

possibly have a word with yourself

looks alright, certainly different.
