Wonder Wheels (review)

Top marks to the Collinite 476s:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:I have only put one coat on, but the dirt literally fell off the wheels tonight. No scrubbing, just a gently wipe over with mitt and Autoglym car shampoo and the wheels are back to gleaming white again.

Chris

I used too use Wonder wheels regularly on the octy and it was really good at shifting the stubborn baked on dust and tar. Then after three years the wheels started bubbling and flaking, so i stopped using it.

Mazda wheels are mostly aluminium, so need gentler care. I use meg's All Wheel Cleaner now. In combination with a good waxing, it works just as well as the WW. Waxing saves a hell of a lot of scrubbing ont wheels.

I've used wonder wheels a couple of times on my wheels now, and to begin with i was amazed how well it removed the staining.

But when i washed my wheels with normal shampoo a couple of weeks back I noticed some bubbling has occurred where there was none before. Bit worrying.

Looks like the acid has crept under the paint where it can, and caused bubbling. I won't be using it again now.

Bit of a double edged sword! Leave the stuck on dust to slowly eat into the wheel, or use wonder wheels for a temporary good look but eat the wheels if they're a bit tatty already.

If you try to scrub it off you just end up scratching the surface, gah!

Better start saving for some Speedlines.....
