SatNav Speed Camera database and other usefull stuff

Featured Replies

For those with TomToms/garmins etc that can load on third party POI's and have a Warn when near function have a look at:

Its a great site with technical forums regarding most makes of SatNav/Speed detection devices/In car systems etc.

As a paying member (£19 a year) I get monthly speed camera updates for my TomTom.

I have so far found them to be very accurate.

Forum users on there are very knowledgable regarding SatNav devices and will help with any problems and issues that you have. You do not need to subscribe to join the forums.

Hope this hasnt been posted before, if it has, sorry but thought it worth while mention again as many of use SatNavs nowadays.

I'm already a member, and as well as the excellent database there's some nifty little apps by members which tweak the POI's, icons etc for the Garmin (I've the 760 and it is so much better being able to set warnings by time rather than distance). There's even an applet which automatically downloads the latest database and formats it automatically and alerts you to update your device.

I've been using the PGPS camera database for a couple of years now. It's very very usefull and the best out there as far as i'm concerned. I've now got free lifetime membership too as i submitted a camera that was added to the system. :D:D:D

Cheers

Dave.

ive used them for years, while the fixed cameras are spot on. the mobile ones do have a lot to desire especially when they remove an active mobile site.

I use POIplace.nl

Totally free ;)
