I think I get the general jist of what you're saying. I've only changed exhausts on petrol-powered cars I've owned before, but with them, the exhaust noise and note tended to improve as the mileage increased, and the exhaust coked up a little.

So I'd give it 500 miles or so and then see what you think. Also, from what I've seen/heard of the Milltek system, it isn't going to radically change the exhaust noise on the vRS. When I've been in cars equipped with this system, I've tended to notice a deeper exhaust note, rather than an increase in outright exhaust noise.

Hi People,

On saturday I finally had a miltek cat back exhaust system fitted to my fabia vrs.

Looks very good.

One thing I have noticed is that it doesnt make much more noise, the only real difference can be noticed above 2500 rpm.

I will post up some pictures as soon as possible.

My answer to that would be;

The miltek exhaust is designed to improve the exhuast tone without hurting your ears. I would have gone for the Blueflame exhaust if noise is what you are after?

A diesel engine is never going to sound like a petrol with a nice exhaust. In my experiance after market exhausts on diesels just make them sound more like a tractor.
