Me to, never had one when I've had anything done at Skoda

I've never had a car serviced without arranging a courtesy car, just make sure you book in with plenty of time to spare and they should be able to sort you one. As long as you are dealing with a main dealer that is.

My garage have no problem when in for warranty work. Other garage will pick up and drop off my Octavia. That's in Glasgow and Ayr

Always been offered a courtesy car when in for service by all the dealers I have dealt with. Only proviso is to book in advance so that a car is available.

Chris

I always got a courtesy car when my car went in for work (Elmside Garage Kent:thumbup:)

I aslo never bought a car from that dealer:D So it's not like they needed to keep me sweet.

I only had one service done there but I made a few bookings for warranty work & upgrades.

Fair play I never got anything exciting like a vRS, more often than not it would be a base fabia but if you were really really lucky............. a Roomster:rofl: I was never charged and they never bothered to check the car over when I brought it back, not even the petrol content:D

Can't wait to see what Renault are like:rofl:

my octi was cleaned when it went in for it's MOT. Well they got a jetwash on it and missed loads of bits so it came back to me all patchy so I then had to wash it properly

I have always had a courtesy car when mine has been serviced, just ask when booking it in. I am suprised to find this isn't common practice.

I've never been offered one. That said, it's never been an issue, cos I don't actually want one!

I liked those videos!!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I got a Fabia SDi Classic saloon when I had some warranty work done at Farmer's Skoda, with "Farmer's Courtesy Car" written in huge letters down the side. I nearly walked home ;)

The web site isnt a UK one, so maybe thats why peeps dont get courtesy cars. Of course, its not just Skoda that dont always offer them...........

yeah there good! hmm mixed answers about a curtasy car without asking... surely they should offer all these services in the uk too. i like the accessorie rental idea too!

First service at Skoda Huddersfield but no courtesy car available

Car was bought there when was it was Lightcliffe Skoda so I assumed that was why D.M Keith didn't/wouldn't supply a courtesy car

I have always asked for a courtesy car, but you usually have to book it several weeks in advance, which is sometimes nearly impossible if you are doing highish mileage. Funnily enough BMW are great at giving you a loaner (as I have a beginners BMW, I can get a better loan car than I own ) but they also have a fast track service option, where they guarantee the car will be sorted within a maximum 90 minutes and as I have had a couple of teething matters sorted (plus a puncture) with this method, I can say they are as good as their word and hence this is preferable to borrowing a car…………………well until they lend me a 335 M3 M5 M6 135. Usually it takes about an hour, plus you get free buns, proper coffee and they give your car a mini valet. It’s bloody expensive I guess, compared to Skoda (I will know for sure in a few months probably, as I may have a service due) but you do seem to get what you pay for. Perhaps I am being unfair to Skoda as I had my Octy serviced at Horners of Manchester and I was treated like my car was an inconvenience towards the end of my tenure (they started off very well, but soon went downhill and what’s with the lack of parking!!!!!! Atrocious!!!!)

Winchester Motor Co, always a car if you book in advance, if not & its a panic repair always somone available to run you home of collect the car. Genuine fantastic service & I havent bought any of the cars from them. a big  to them

Farmer's in Leicester have ALWAYS offered me a courtesy car if i book a few weeks in advance.

Have had a couple of Octy's (including an estate) and a Fabia estate and a "sport".

Let me use a brand new Octy Estate for 3 days when the Fabia VRs was in for an accident repair.

a dealer up here was willing for me to arrange a test drive of an octy at the same time as putting my Furby in for a service, rather than opt for the (freely offered) base level furby/roomster.

didn't go for it though - a nearer dealer was slightly cheaper, and due to urban location was better just to "while-you-wait" it, whereas the first dealer is in a row of dealerships off a motorway junction.

Currently the dealer comes to my office to pick my car up and leaves me a courtesy car, been an Altea XL the last couple of times.

That's the joys of being a business customer with a couple of cars on lease from the same garage!

rarely have had a courtesy car in the past with other garages (rover and vauxhall) always had to get a work collegue to follow me to the garage at 5am drop the car off and then take me to work only to drop me off by 6pm in the evening. the other alternative is i take the day off or i take it in on a saturday.

Always got a courtesy car from Parkside Skoda in Bolton, never got one from Horner's Skoda/circus in Manchester. It's almost impossible to get one from my local Toyota dealer (for it's frequent recurrent visits...) unless you book 2 months in advance.
