Maxidot and cruise fitted today

Featured Replies

A big thankyou to VRStu for fitting both Maxidot and cruise control on my vRS TDi today. Although there were one or two small glitches during the fitting process, everything works fine.

Top man :D

stu must be very much a pro at this now!!

Worth the trip out East eh. :D I want Stu to do my convenience ecu swap at some stage. I'm still too scared about how it all works.

Good to see you today

Cruise went fine which was good but I was a little miffed about the maxidot flickering issue. I had a quick thought which, thankfully, as it happend turned out to be the cause - The ribbon cable connecting the LCD to the circuit board wasn't locked into place.

Dont you get tired of the never ending adulation? ;)

No not really.

oops, thought you meant me :)

Where can one get an IC with maxidot for the 1.6 FSi? How much does one cost? Can the miles on the vehicle receiving it be programmed into it if it's let's say a used part?
