Your best ever shots... to date

Featured Replies

Thanks Steve and other kind commenters, no doubt I'll pollute this forum with more of my pictorial tat at some point.

The first pic is Halo, an 'installation' overlooking Haslingden, Lancashire. Lots of people ask me that same question!

Very interesting, just done a bit of Googling on it. Not far from me really; should pop up and take a look one evening...

Lovely pics, but the first two look a bit too 'tweaked' for my liking? :o Was there much Photoshop work done on them, or is it just me?

No offence intended...

Steve

no probs wardy, it all helps.

the first one has had the saturation boosted and the clouds darkened to bring the storm out. the wheat field did have bright sun shining on it from behinf though so it was ideal conditions with the storm coming.

the second is pretty much as is apart from levels/curves and vibrance added in rawshooter. both had ND grads on too at the top of the frame

Just remembered about this one - not sure about it being one of my best shots as it's actually a total disaster. But I like it! ;)

Oo, oo, oo, I've been there! You got clearer weather! :)

Buster - Is the third one Lanzarote?

Looks like Punakaiki Rocks on the West coast of NZ's South Island :D

Senor Clubley, you are indeed correct! Both are Punakaki Rocks, and the big lakey thing is Lake Tekapo! Shame that weather didn't last for my trip to Taupo, as couldnt see the volcanoes!! :thumbdwn::(

Cousin's Escort RS Turbo - was only supposed to be taking a few 'decent' pictures of it - typically they came out better than my attempts at good shots with my own cars...

Good picture, and in my opinion a bit of a classic car:)
