Yes .......

There goes the neighbourhood, I have myself an Ugly car, a Roomster Scout 1.9tdi in Black Magic.

Panoramic roof

17" alloys

Maxidot

I will post some pictures up this weekend if I have time, and yes, there are modifications on the way, and I am going to try to rival Decron (after plagurising his ideas :D)

On the plan

More performance

Rear ARB (looking for solutions around Decrons mods)

Parrot RK8200 (Going in this weekend)

Various Vag-Com tweaks

Raiding the skoda accessory catalogue

Whilst it goes totally against the ethos behind the scout badge, I am giving serious consideration to lowering it and putting FSD's on.

The kids love it, the wife loves it, and I still think it's butt ugly, but in an individual kind of way, and so far .......... I'm loving it, so much more than my previous octy, it's so damn flexible and practical :thumbup:

Looking forward to seeing what you can do with it, FSD would be a sweet mod. I have stage 2 of the ARB mod happening very soon (A soon as I can find some suitable steel to make some bits ;)

A decent remap would be a good idea too, possibly Revo code (As I know they already do a decent 105 edc 16 remap)

Wotcha mate

There is a man near Wolverhampton that does an excellent map for the 105 edc 16 and has had good results with other makes with that motor, and should I be tempted by such an offer ....... was given a very good price, being a possible repeat customer and all :D

I found a place that sells steel and alloy specifically for making ARB's etc

Sheets & tubing, pipes, chassis, exhausts, bending roll cages

Ohh how mighty have fallen ..................you two used to be a pair of hooligans:rolleyes:

Pope mobile anyone ???

Nice one Fluff,

Hopeing to pick my Roomy 3 up in a couple of hours

I have mate, and they are available, as well as eibach springs that give a 25mm drop to a standard roomster so would Slam a scout :)

I did not laugh, I had a light chuckle, but those wheels are some of the nicest OEM 17's I have ever seen and look mint on the scout :D

I used to have loads of local suppliers to hand but they have either gone out of business or won't deal with me in cash  Annoyingly we recently cleared my grandfathers workshop and got rid of a load of "scrap":mad:

I'll consider a proper remap when the warranty is a bit closer to gone ;)

As will I mate, I am on the look out for a temp solution at the moment :D

Is there a Dragon in the house???

You can do a lot worse than taking a ride with the Dragon ;)

You owe me for a laptop screen, I just spat my coffee all over this one in a fit of laughter :D

I got one here you can have ;);)

Deffo has the making of a Roomster vRS with the right mods mate

Have always said that the ride height is too high on the Roomster especially in Scout guise, a lowered look would be cool. The tyre profile looks wrong too imo! :o

:wrthless:

Have to wonder if the Scout in black will show off its cladding sufficiently? Might be an area for experimintation... Either paint it silvery ala Subaru Outbacks or colour code it to make it disappear!

Recall some bloke from SeatCupra.net making a group buy a while back for some rear strut braces he was having some machinist (Mike) he knows manufacter... Might give him a PM to see if the same could be done in regards to the Roomster. Whether it be the Rear ARB or Rear strut brace. From looking at the pics in the guide looks like he uses quality materials too!!!

Leon / Ibiza / Rear Strut Brace Group Buy: LIVE - SEAT Cupra.net - the world's largest & most popular SEAT Forum

Haven't looked into it fully but Forge might be another option. Of course in addition to Decrons Whiteline mod...

I agree on the tyre profile, it will look great if I lower it htough on those rims imho. I had to look to see if there was any rubber LOL it's like driving with an elastic band on the rims.

Nothing like as choppy as the "sports" suspension on the last octavia though. I forsee some kind of Roomster Scout RS thing on the horizon

Shell be following the Roomy VRS project with interest ;)

The light grey of the cladding contrasts well against the black mate, pic is from a mate who snapped a couple of pics whilst it was being prepped for me, better pics to come (no offence to original photographer :D)

Like'n the wheels

The Roomsters are taking over!!!

Need more pics but the light grey cladding on black looks quite good, more subtle then the normal silver.

I dont think thats its ugly, its just different, so whats wrong with that.

Talk ugly and think of B.M.W. and Peugeot.

I think lowering the car would look cool, fitting larger tyes would look good too

I love the roomy scouts and its about the only new skoda i would have at the mo....and i see allsorts every day!

It would have to be white for me though!
