Another rattle source cured

Featured Replies

I also recently found a rattle I had thought was the driver's door window.

It was the pale grey trim that covers the centre pillar. The front edge was not well clipped into place and recently it came away. I found that with care it can be clipped back much firmer, and presses right into the rubber surrounding the door pillar. No more noises!!

dealt with a technical whack i guess ;)

LOL - no, actually it took a little bit of doing - difficult to describe but you sort of twist the trim panel in and lock it behind a tab sticking out from the pillar, pressing the near edge right into the surround rubber at the same time. Doesn't sound much but it makes quite a difference.

Any pics of the area in question?

No, sorry, but it is pretty clear when you check it. It is the small panel that the seat belt adjusting slider is fitted to.
