Iniatial response is i love them, they arnt that much lower than standard which is a good thing as the vrs sump sits very low ;) And i dont like really low cars anyway.

Body roll is vastly reduced and the ride is so much better than the standard.

Feels stiffer but doesnt crash over potholes as much.

So folks If anyone is in the market for some suspension the Kw 30mm spings and damper kit is awesome value for money (£ 350 rrp) I paid £300 :P

halfords, Awesome gti, europerformance too.

Thye will all be the same price as kw sell everywhere at the rrp

KW says 30mm and Eibachs are 25mm but comparing my Fabia with eibachs to another fabia with the 30mm kw'

(both on 17's) the Eibachs are lower by around 5-10mm

;)

Looks good:thumbup:

Just a guess but could that be because the Eibach's are 25mm lower on a VRS and the KW's are 30mm lower on a lower model Fabia (which is higher than a VRS)... hence why these don't seem to have lowered the car much?

Looks a good kit for the money! Did it come with new bump stops or do you re use the originals?

The kit is specifically designed for the VRS, the box says for chassis type RS under the part number.

It comes with new bump stops for the front but you have to re-use the orginals for the rear.

Yeah just had a look. Its a 35mm kit on a lower spec Fabia and 30mm on the RS so defo is supposed to be 30mm... Just doesn't look it. Maybe it'll settle a bit though

yer it might do

not really bothered about going too low. Its rides nice and it corners amazing. The last thing i wanted was to be 100miles a day in a bone shaker

/\ yeah

The KW's seem to sit quite a bit higher. Those Weitecs look like coilover height lol.

I've also heard uprated dampers can raise the height?

I.e a fabia with fsd's and eibachs sits higher than just the springs??

looks good John. Told you the KW spring and damper kit is good if your not bothered for height or ride adjustment why spend the dosh on coilovers. They're what I run on my octi and they're great

Can you get the shocks without the springs? Or is it just a kit?

You can get the shocks seperate yer

And can also get juts springs if needed

That's exactly the same kit as I've got on my Vrs, although I've got 17" alloys......

Very very happy with the kit, didn't fit it myself though, has to be said.

haha, why did the weitecs drop so much?

How does this compare £ wise to a Koni FSD/Eibach setup? IO cant see the KW listed on the Awesome GTi site?

is this the kw sport suspensin kit listed on europerformance or a different description, they have a lot on there.

product code 20082018?

Very nice mate, can't wait to get my springs on.

yes thats the correct one

How come my KW springs say -35mm on the box then ?

I've fitted them to mine, but cant say i'm impressed with the ride or look.

Still seems to sit very high.

They take time to settle. Also the Fabia VRS is 25mm lower anyway so it's possible that they will only lower it 10mm for you car.

Yep, that will settle a little more for sure.

To answer the Eibach/FSD price question above, you'll be looking at £600-650 fitted, depending on where you go. JKM did mine.

Hi

This kit is listed purly for a vRS

So it is not that it does the whole range

Yes you can get shockers seperately

The front shockers are £61080056 £78.30 + VAT each

Rear shockers 61080057 £67.23 + VAT each

The kit £304.68 + VAT (£358 all in)

They even do the springs alone 25082018 £102.13 + VAT

Hope that helps?

Sarah

Gonna be weitec coilovers for me when the time comes.. but will have to get a sump guard made up somehow
