I recently came across some really smart looking footrest covers being made for MKV Golf owners and given that the footrests are the same as the Octy II I asked if it were possible to have a vRS version made. After sending some sample images to Al he quickly sent me the prototypes to test and I have just fitted them this afternoon.

Fitting is quite simple, the footrest is available in two types - drilled or not drilled for self adhesive sticking. If you opt for the drilled one you need to remove the plastic part of the footrest from you car which is a simple 5 minute job. The inserts are fitted using double sided tape or similar.

Having confirmed with Al that the fit is perfect he is now willng to make them for Skoda owners.

I have the vRS logo on mine however it will be possible to have different logo's or even blank - within reason of course.

Prices -

£22.50 for the footrest cover.

£10.00 for the seat handle inserts.

£32.50 for the footrest cover and seat handle inserts.

All prices include shipping to a UK address. Fixings are included for drilled versions of the footrest.

Payments will be made directly to Al who's details will be provided to the purchasers.

I'll let this run for a week initially to see how it goes.

These are laser cut from sheet Stainless Steel. An interesting option that some of the Golf boys are doing is inserting coloured plastic or similar under the logo - (Pictures courtesy of LaserBlue)

Hi Stu.

I'd like an undrilled plain footrest to match the Skoda stainless pedals, and seat handle covers with the 'OCTAVIA' logo (same text as shown in Skoda Octavia II - seat handle OCTAVIA badge : Skoda Tuning = superskoda.com but I think it would look better cut all the way through).

Also, can Al make footrest covers for the right hand side? Everywhere I look seems to either be LHD or doesn't match the Skoda pedal set.

suboilbib - Al doesn't seem to think that he can fit 'Octavia' on them as it is too big.

Those wanting other footrests then he will have a look but he'll need a good photo of the location with some measurements to start with, progressing to a template before a prototype can be made.

I reaaaaallllly want these but have just bought a pair of tyres and have the Euro trip coming up soon so can't afford them :(. Stu, do you think your man will be able to make some up later perhaps for another group buy or make a few extra to sell to those who can't afford them at the moment?

I'm not really sure at the moment, obviously the more he can make in one batch the better it is. That's not to say that they may not be available at a later date. They seem to be really catching on with TT and SEAT drivers wanting similar I think.
