Vrs versus Sport

Featured Replies

So we're all agreed then, the mk1 vRS is the bestest car in the world ever.

I read somewhere that it's faster in 1st, 2nd and 3rd than the Millenium Falcon.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::thumbup:

Although i think you will see that you accidently put "mk1" instead of "mk2" :P

Officially according to my own mind, in order to be cool you have to have the following:

a) Petrol

B) Turbo

I dont think that's quite right, although naturally you need a Turbo to get any cool points - and carcinogenic diesels take away many cool points (even more if they sound really tractory) so i reckon you're on the right lines :D

Actually a cat that has been recently introduced to water @ 100° Celsius is slightly quicker, although it may not have the luggage handling capaability of either of your mentioned vehicles.

Can we leave scalded cats out the thread please Amanda :) Our cat is getting

agitated and the kettle is about to boil...... :D

Feck me you are more stupid than I first thought!

and one wonders how on earth one could have been a mod if this is the way he speaks to people.

Well let's face it mate no one is going to get excited when 'sport' is mentioned, unless it's the daily news paper variety.

i dont expect anyone to, i have a life and a car is a form of transport, simple..

Blimey! Think this thread is getting a tad out of order! :o

That's very interesting coming from someone who has made over 6000 posts on a car forum.

You're doing yourself no favours on here mate and making yourself sound a bit of a fool.

"a bit"

not at all, i enjoy most peoples company on here, i just dont understand how the odd few bother to buy a brand new car and then spend several thousands on mods when they could have just gone a bought a car that has more power in the first place.

The general attitude i see on here is this, "i have a vrs its better than any other car on the road and if you dont have a vrs then you shouldnt be here". I thought this forum was for any skoda owner new or old brand new or second hand wanting advice and looking for other skoda owners to chat to, obviously colin got it wrong on the welcome page. perhaps it should be renamed briskvrs.

I think vRS owners know where we stand! It's just the few t0ssers that think

they have an equal car, when clearly, they have disillusioned themselves :)

drag racing cats is know as Catapult racing

Are the cats hot water powered?

Your obsessed!!!! :P

That's so cool... drag racing dogs (i.e. Greyhounds) is just known as Greyhound racing :(

Anyway back on topic........ I'm glad I have a VRS Estate as there are no direct rivals out there at all, they're just one on their own and therefore have to be the best :D

ive probably counted about a dozen in 18 months. 2 red the rest in black. its not a bad car, it can keep up with vrs's 1st to 3rd before the turbo on the vrs takes over. top speed isnt far off a vrs, slightly cheaper insurance. fuel economy is good 34-44mpg is my average. the main thing the vrs has over it is its more tuneable with the likes of revo and has a turbo. Spec inside is similar to vrs.

You've made a blatently untrue statement, people have challenged it, and now you're trying to divert attention by attempting to create a divide between VRs and non VRs owners.

I think you've gone and got yourself totally wound up in this respect and have come to this conclusion not based on fact but a deluded idea that the world is conspiring against the 'Sport' owner.

The forum is for all Skoda owners, that has been perfectly clear to me on many occassions in the past, but you'll find that most enthusiasts either own or have more of an an interest in the vRS 'marque' than any other model and therefore by rights will be discussed more than any other (you yourself have added a vRS badge to the front grille of your car!).

Now, do yourself a favour and go and trade in your Sport for one! ;)

Quite agree

The cats are warmed up first on a hot tin roof and then fed a hot liquid known as a Catatonic.

again there you go steve, why the f--- do i want a vrs when there are no roads around here that have a speed limit above 50. i dont need a vrs as i have a 10 mile journey to work mainly on 30 and 40 mph roads. what a waste of money a vrs will be. like ive told you on previous arguements. if you are so concerned about me having a vrs then buy me one, but i can guarentee it will just sit on the driveway.

not at all when apd and tom left that night from the newbury meet it was an observation i had made with apd going though newbury. i have been in many vrs's and they dont feel much different to mine. the only one that did was makefishes as it had been chipped up. again this is my own personal view and from what i have judged a view.

1. never said i had an equal car as ive pointed out posting the difference between the cars on a previous page, its t0ssers like you who think they god when you not, your **** comes out smelling the same as the next man's.
