Don't retexture them...unless I've done a de-scuffing repair first..no just simply degrease first with panel wipe,then spray them a dark shade of grey that I had specifically formulated from Ashford Automotive u.k.

Don't get as much call for that particular job now,but waiting to see if the 'new' corsa wheel arch covers are going to fade the same...not so far!

A number of garages try doing it themselves on the cheap,using a wipe on dye from some german supplier...name fails me ,sorry...but 1,it looks streaky, 2,it washes off eventually,and 3,it seems to be only available in black,and as a consequence,it looks wrong.

We get our stuff from ashfords too, we have loads of it, but no-one put two and two together and used it for just recolouring... we do plenty of scuffs on KAs still, but we don't get many corsas now. I think the last one was last summer.

Danny, I won't touch Ka bumpers any more. Total bitch to match as they fade too,also too big as well, cost a fortune in paint,as you would probably have to paint all 3 panels

I'll have to look into that. We do a fleet of these so it may be worth looking into replacing the panels. It's not somthing we would do as a one off as we arn't fitters But once you have done one and know what you are doing, it's easy after that.

But you have to charge somethng for labour, I'm not sure it would work out any cheaper for the customer in the long run..

I believe they are a bit of a pig to fit,but yes as you say,the more you do it,the easier it becomes.
