The door is fubared!! the dirt on the car and angle of the photo doesnt show the whole damage.

Im not too fussed about getting it done quickly tbh. Regards to whether she pays me or it goes through insurance I will be taking it to the same place - HB Panelcraft

The only thing I'm not too happy about is me running around trying to sort it, taking it to her dad to show it etc.....

Just looks scratched and scuffed.

Most likely a £250 as they respray 2 panels not just the affected door. Depends if the door is damaged too.

She'd be better off going through the insurance. Why the feck did she buy insurance in the first place? Unless she's only got 3rd party/ TPFT and not comprehensive in which case shes liable to foot the cost of accidents which are her fault anyway.

She doesnt want to go through the insurance fair enough but women don't pay that much. My 28 yr old sister pays £400 on a Micra 1.0 compared to my £640 and we've had the cars for roughly the same period.

What about what you want? You obviously want your car back on the road looking perfect.

I went into the back of someone in a Fiesta mk2 I think (very lightly) in a company van, we exchanged details. He settled on £30 for bumper.

I wasn't in no position for a debate as I was at fault tbh.

just go through the insurer's its not your fault and tell them if she wants to pay instead of going through the insurance line you will be happy. (so will both insurers).

At long last she's back looking better than ever with the o/s having been machine polished.

Just put some sealent around the base to stop the common leak then it'll be like brand new :D

Didn't realise how much I missed not having a car for a few days.

The guys at the body shop were rather interested in what I'd done to it and had put a whole mile on the odo :thumbdwn: They had grins on there faces and I think I've convinced them that diesel power is no slouch

Nothing like getting your own car back :D
