Well it is wens night and still dont have the car. I went at 6pm to pay and collect, i never contacted the bank to authrorise such a large amount to be debited! So ill get the car tomorrow, however i have all the manuals and notice in the drivers servie manual my name is completely wrong and so is the number plate.

When do i get the dvla docs?

And how does variable servicing work? do i take it in every time the car tells me to.

Oh dear , its not going well is it DT? Is this gods way of telling you not to get rid of a Capri?? ;)

capris have been on my mind alot recently, but there too old now. Maybe when the vrs is fully paid for the mk4 capri will be out.

Yeah but imagine the restoration you could do on a Tickford with the money a vRS costs...(hmm maybe I shouldnt have said that , im getting the urge to buy Classic Ford and hunt for another white 2.8i!!)

WOOOOOOWWEEEEEE

Got the car this morning, love it! AWESOME!!!! love the sound of the turbo spinning up, so comfy, so quiet and easy to drive its, everything a car should be!!! head turner everywhere I LOVE IT, After driving it now im not really bothered about old fords!!.

people without a vrs dont know what their missing!!! lovely car, smells well nice. A few times by mistake pulling off at the lights i have got it to 3000rpm as im getting use to the clutch. This isnt bad for it if done a few times?

Fairly good sound system as well but im not sure at 1 point it sounded like the front passenger speaker was resonating or distorting.

AND THE COLOUR!!!!!!! im going out of the window for another look!

Glad you like it daytripper! At least you kept the honour of the first dent to yourself ;)

After following all the posts, all I can say is I hope he is able to keep the car for as long as he wants....if you know what I mean.

Cheers

Is this guy for real ??????????????????

in fact the vibrating noise was my friends phone vibrating!. A great solid car all round. Money well spent.

I am sure you will soon get used to it, the clutch is very light and so is the gas pedal. So I guess a young driver with less experience will take a while to adapt. I can remember doing simillar things in a 1.4 astra.

Well I have found that the reason why it rolled in reverse was i musnt have fully slotted it in gear, it beeped but wasnt all the way in reverse.

Glad you liked the car... I miss that feeling I had on my first drive home when I picked the car up. It was extra pleasing as I had bought the car on nothing more than pictures in a brochure, and write ups in What Car? OK, maybe a bit more, but not much.

The thing that really pi55ed me off on the drive home was something the size of an albatross crapped on my screen, and left a massive dump on the passenger side of the screen. The sheer ordascity of the thing! You can guess what first job for me at home was... :D

**** shoveller! ;)
