Rob, are those prices including all the weird Dutch Taxes. If they are then I dont think they are to bad. If you take away all the taxes, and remove the vat from uk prices then holland is much cheaper IIRC.

Perhaps mine were Belgian prices after all with a different structure ?

The prices are from a car mag I bought in the Netherlands last week, but it wasn't far from Belgium...!

Rob: yes, could well be so. Belgium is quite a bit cheaper to Holland - in many respects...

And it looks like there's no escape. If you go for a turbo car to save on cc tax, you'll still get hit by the kW tax. Ouch!

So the Lotus Elise would be the ultimate cheap performance car for Norway, I gather? :D

This also has the implications that once you tune your car you have (if you want it to be legal) pay the additional taxes, power in this case.
