The car park near the abbey has loads of space and it's only a 5 minute walk down to the town, so would be a good spot? Last time we parked near the whale bones on the other side but the car park is quite limited so could be a problem this time of year.

This map shows the location of the abbey car park I am thinking of. There is (or used to be) one right at the end of the road, at the top of the steps, but it's not open anymore.
