Looks pretty comprehensive, except you don't get E111s now - you get a card or something...

AA 5 Star Breakdown Assist & Travel Insurance?

My bad, forgot about b'down cover with mine still covered on Skoda warrenty :o:P

Travel insurance, advisory to top up EHIC :)

Take a sponge or a squeegy with a bug sponge built into it and maybe a small bucket between the lot of you so when you park up you can clean all the windscreens.

The French flies are a real **** at this time of year as I just found out. (I'm blaming the French, because I can :D ) The screen wash just didn't shift them at all.

I would also take a can of tyre weld or similar. Ideally you wouldn't use it, but at the same time I'd rather put that in and limp to a service station than try and change a tyre on the side of an autobahn.

Megs glass cleaner works brilliant on flies :D

Reading the recent comparison tests in auto express with regard to tyre weld, I reckon I could change a wheel faster than the times they where quoting :P

Money ordered today, just hope I have enough, credit cards will be with me though.

With regards to the tyre weld, I have a full size 18" spare anyway which I'll be taking :D, and given the choice between changing a tyre on the side of the road and using tyre weld, I think I'd rather change my tyre.

and if two of you are there it be like a pit stop ;)

Just ordered my cash, bloody £ down to 1.203 against the Euro  Thats 20% I could have made net profit if I had converted all my savings at this time last year. :grumpy:

Popping to M&S after work for mine. My two weeks off work starts in 2 hours, hooray!

T'other night I dreamt I'd left home on the trip without packing anything at all. Woke up in a cold sweat. :o

Still got tomorrow to do :(

I'm having nightmares about folk missing ferry etc, etc, etc, etc

Just read that list out of sheer curiousity :)

One question - why do you list a separate GB sticker, if you have proper EU GB number plates fitted?

No longer enough to have an EU plate in at least Switzerland I believe.

EU plate only valid in the EU, swiss not in EU so require a seperate sticker :)

The wife says she will move in with Alan :eek:

You might need to pack a spare Gearbox to drop into Rouen !!!

Cheers guys - learnt something about Switzerland today then :)

Enjoy your trip :D

Money ordered today

Just found out, no it isnt!

Apparently, using a debit card to order currency is the same as using your debit card in a cash point, i.e. £200 limit :(.

Currently waiting on Travelex to get back to me to confirm change of collection date.

I think that's why if you go to the post office or M&S or similar you need to have your driving licence or passport with you to buy currency with a debit or credit card.

Had no problems getting all mine yesterday from m&s, despite my Switch card snapping in my hand while stood at the counter  The chip still worked fortunately, just been onto the bank to issue me a new card in a hurry, should be here on Wednesday cross fingers...
