Air Conditioning + Centre Console Lights stopped working

Featured Replies

Is it coincidence that my air conditioning stopped working the same time as my centre console lights?

My air conditioning stopped on Sunday and on Monday night I noticed my centre console lights (heater temperature and direction, re-circulate button, AC button) were not lit up.

The temperature and direction still work but I don't think the re-circulate button does.

Can anyone suggest a few things to check? cheers

Fuse? Temperature and direction are (I think) mechanical connections so will work independent of electric power...

Thanks for the reply - I'm reasonably certain there are electric flap motors which control temperature and direction. I might try a hard slap in the general area and see what happens before trying the fuses (or vice versa might be more sensible)

A similar thing went with mine, are your fogs and rear wiper working? theres a relay which the ac,fogs and rear wiper are linked to.I cant remember the number of it sorry but check your fogs and rear wiper, if they'e gone aswell your relay it will be. Its under the steering wheel you will have to remove the lower cover and swap the relay is about 8-12quid. Hope it helps

Thanks for the tip flands - just checked and my fogs / rear wipe work ok - will not rule it out though.

Yea, check the fuses as my front wiper one went and evey time I pulled or moved the stick, the rear wiper would wipe even though I never asked it to....a fuse change later....good as new!

Okay - quick update. Checked all my fuses at the side of the dash today and all were fine.

If my air-conditioning gas has gone low it will not work. Will this mean the recirculate / ac buttons will not light up?

Greetings dear fans. I have the exact same issue! Does anyone know how to resolve it. It appeared a few days ago , and in the beginning lights were on all the time , even when the car was locked, after disconecting the battery , all was fine again. Then after a few days i noticed , that lights started to go on and off, unfortunately this was the end of them .. :)

It's recommended that a new thread would be made - specifically if their profile indicates their model - in the right section. Unless they have bought a Fabia, of course. :)
