Hi,

I just finished (AT LAST) the tedious job of mounting the gearbox.

- Is very smooth now.

- I did some job to the pedals: replaced the center sleeve, replaced the clutch pedal axe and refitted it's spring. At this point there are two things:

1- (minor) the clutch pedal now is too high :o

but this I could fix it very easy, just have to place a stop point where

need it to stop.

2- When I placed everything in it's correct place, I got to the conclusion

that the Cable is a tricky guy  : When you feed the pedal the

cover of the cable is what really pushes the arm (and the bearing), so it

has to be a little tensed anyway. And, the way it is, there is nothing

that push it backward.

If I'm not wrong, the only thing that I can adjust with the cable is how

hard the bearing is stick to the friction plate, then I have to let it soft

enough so the bearing make no resistance to the plate.

And If it is all that way, I'm highly worried about it.

- Finally, I have a BIG ? on my head: reading other thread I see someone say that it is possible to change gear speed without using the clutch.

IS THAT REALLY POSSIBLE?

what are the chances of screwing the gearbox doing this?

Thanks for all your help in this Issue :D

Yes you can change gear without the clutch - it's all in matching engine revs to box speed :)
