Well its finally arrived, neat little machine I must say. Getting used to the small keyboard and my rather large hands and sausage fingers.

Ya think?

Does it's smallness hinder porn surfing?

Well it's what everyones dying to ask ;)

Hmmm, nice , sorely tempted

luckily my fingers aren't as sausage sized as yours Ross

how much was it??

what sort of battery does it come with? have you had time to test the battery life yet?

The battery by all accounts is the only weak part in this machine. But for my useage its not really a concern. I think they quote it at about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

That's not bad considering the Toshiba I'm posting from returns about 2 hours with everything going.

Wow, that's small. But very nice looking package.

how much was it??

The A110's are going for £199 on Dixon's with the A150L's going for £230.

They are also the same price in Currys stores if you dont fancy waiting for delivery!

silly question but do these laptots open out flat a bit like a portable dvd player?

For example, I'm flying tomorrow: Dixons Tax Free will need to check if they stock the Acer one too

There is no optical drive on the units, so no good for playing dvd's if that is what you are planning...

No need, SD card slot ;)

If you hit the T while going for the P you have got big fingers!

The A110 has Linux OS and a 8GB Flash Drive.

The A150L has Linux OS and a 120GB Hard Drive.

The one pictured has Windows XP, so unless Lummox has wiped Linux and installed XP it looks like its the A150BB model which is just shy of £300 Retail.

Must admit, I have been tempted for a while. There becoming more available now from more manufacturers. An excellent Vag-Com machine!!!!

Regards

No need, SD card slot ;)

Or you could even mount it (the DVD image) as an image on the hard drive!

Looks good Ross; I keep meaning to have a play with a 10" screen'd model. Or I might get a small HP though work, will see what happens...

Just noticed in the first pick there is an leaflet detailing the offer of Microsoft Office. This wouldn't come with a Linux OS version so it must have come pre installed with XP, so i will stick my neck on the line and say its a Acer Aspire One A150BB.

Doh, I have just noticed the Windows XP sticker on the netbook. Time for bed me thinks.

God i have too much time on my hands.:D
