Chris,

Steve

Aint it a buzz when people realize its a Skoda?

Steve

It sure is , its one of the best things about the car (puts on a fast show style voice..) "Aint reverse snobbery fantastic.., its brilliant!".. ;)

I agree - reverse snobbery is good fun.

A neighbour of mine has a TVR and asked me why I'd changed the Impreza for a Skoda.

I told him 'because it was hilarious to see other drivers reactions'.

He didn't really understand me...

TVR stands for Trevor's Vehicle Recovery (you know TVR was Trevor deleting certain vowels etc?) and the fact they hardly get from A to B without a breakdown................... sorry I had to explain the pun.

renowned for breaking down? :D

Rob.

Thats the one

F - Fix

I - It

A - Again

T - Tomorrow

Or in FORD's case

F - Fix

O - Or

R - Repair

D - Daily

Brian, I was trying to remember the ford one. Although I cant think why, see my sig.

Buy a Rover and your troubles are over...not..!

Or maybe even a British Leyland product from the 70s or early 80s.....

... saw an immaculate brown A reg Maestro Automatic yesterday. Looked like it had just come out of the showroom. Driver was about 80 and obviously very proud.

As I remember a Police force that bought a job lott of Maestros then stored them only to see them rot, could it be that this way possibly an undercover/plain clothes version?

But then they are like hens teeth, so would stick out just a little bit:D

Cheers

Ahh, the Meastro.

I learnt to drive in one of those, an 84 'B' Reg (It was brand new back then). It was a kind of green colour, and went through clutches like nobodys business. Quiet funny doing a hill start with a slipping clutch.
