Hi all,

What do people on here think of the A5??

I had never really seen one in the flesh until friday evening at a VW meet and what a car in the flesh and now I have seen one a white A5 with jap style split rims on them and it works so well on the car.

I've never really been a fan of Audi's in the past unless you count the quattro, A3 (when it first came out), but upon seeing the A5 I feel in love with the car.

Wish I could afford the car through!

Me want one, even a 3.0 litre diesel one would be nice

Diesel would be the only option for me, the one I saw on friday was the 3.0 diesel.

I prefer the A4. I don't hate the A5 it's just not my cup of tea.

I could be wrong, but I think they also do a 2.7v6 diesel.........:confused:

Tis very nice, and I must say I'm not that keen on the latest shape A4.

I quite like them, but . . . . . . they're not was pretty as they should be. Same with new A4.

I was a bit disappointed when I first saw one in the flesh, thought it just a touch lardy. Still, wouldn't turn my nose up at an S5 (or RS5).

Has someone from BMW design gone to work for Audi?

I think they're a bit bland tbh, and why would you want a blimmin great saloon car with only 2 doors?

I'm assuming that if you need a saloon car you need to carry stuff and people but if you want a 2 door car you don't need to carry people so may as well get a proper sports car or coupe type hatchback instead. Obviously that's just my slant on it but whenever I see an A5 I just think of it as a bit of a pointless car. If it looked a bit sexier then maybe my mind would be changed, something along the lines of a BMW M3 for example.

Saw a white one today. Not nice IMHO. Better in reds, blues, even silver is OK, but white made it look like a whale.

I see a silver/grey S5 every pretty much every morning, the more I see it the more I like it.

Nah, just a mate who's bought one.

Replaced his Evo VIII with this, and he loves it even more.

It's due a remap too.

Guy at work has a 3.0 TDi in black - looks really nice but how much????
