Sorry to hear that. I've been searching for a job myself and markets seem pretty tight atm in some sectors.

thanks all, i changed the old facebook status last night and within 10 mins i got a call from a mate from my old carphone warehouse days, he said if i get desperate enough he now works for tmobile and he can pretty much get me a job without much notice!

i wouldnt choose to go back to that kind of retail agian but with christmas coming even with hard times the mobile phone industry is still slogging on, so i have at least got a back up plan!

ive decided to go out of here with a bang though, im going to just sell anything that isnt tied down lol! if anyone wants a deal done on a car that isnt factory ordered then they will get the deal of the week

You would think that if Skoda played the market right (marketing about quality/price/running costs), they would do quite well from the economic down turn by stealing some customers away from more pricey manufacturers such as VW, Audi, Toyota, and so on. Guess it's a shame VAG dominates the market and they obviously won't want to aim to compete against brands under their own umbrella.

Bad news that, you seem a decent honest fella, lets hope you get fixed up with something soon.

EDIT: just had a call about matching a internet deal, and all of a sudden im not so upset at loosing the job here, at least i wont have to put up with dealers doing 12.1 percent off and new car! the customer couldnt grasp why i couldnt match the deal either and started giving out greif!! ffs!

i cant believe there are dealers who are so stupid to do actually sell cars at a loss, no wonder decent dealers are disapearing :thumbdwn:

I'm sure he could find you one though. New ones are great value for money at the moment what with the extra support from Skoda offering the free upgrade money.

I have a coming up to 3 year old one, it's just a case of what a cost to change is.

On a new one that would most likely be more than I'd be willing to pay. Having been disappointed at VAG, if I'm going to pay that much I'd go over to a 1 series or similar outside of the VAG group.

If you don't mind me asking what has dissapointed you about VAG Group cars?
