Can dealer network retrofit an electric sunroof to OCTY II?

Featured Replies

^^^^^^What he said. Climate control is no where near as good as a sunroof. Windows down, sunroof open, almost as good as a cabriolet

the problem is you have to hoover your car a lot more!

Don't do it! I carries a rather stiff sentence with the fashion police!

it will weaken the cars structure too

Sheet metal isn't structure. If the transverse beam is left intact there's no difference from a car without it.

Just out of interest, I did a bit of research on this issue, becuse any reasonable price sunroof will be an obvious aftermarket type, which could only spoil an otherwise nice looking car!

This sunroof Stratos 700 (follow link below) looks pretty close to OEM fitted, but look at the price!

carmagic, car alarms

When you come to sell the car, you won't see any of that money back - guaranteed!

I also like to have a sunroof and specced one on my Toledo - Skoda charge c. £650 on an Octavia, SEAT charge £350 for exactly the same thing on Altea/Toledo!!

As someone else posted - find a vRS with the spec you want - it will turn up eventually, although you may need to travel to get it.
