Where do you get your parts?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm new to Briskoda; I only stumbled upon the forum a few days ago and I must say what a great, friendly and knowledgable community!

This is what I drive, my '93 Skoda Favorit GLXi:

I was wondering where most of you Felicia and Favorit owners get your parts from? Butts of Bawtry?

I need a new sump gasket and I'm looking for a LH front wing as well so I'm trying to find the best place to buy. Hope you can help me out.

Looking forward to my stay here. :D

Cheers,

Dave

Most of us use Jorily, via his ebay shop, or Home . He can get most stuff you are likely to need

AFAIK official line is Butts of Bawtry no longer sell Skoda parts, so Jorily is the place to go. In fact I bought something off Jorily not so long ago and it was drop shipped from butts so looks like they have some sort of arrangement to clear out their remaining stock.

Skoda dealers still do quite a few bits but for the bigger parts like steering rack, brake servo, are very expensive. Also in my experience they have to order everything in which means ordering and then waiting a day or two.

What size alloys are those? 17? I think you could do with some lowering springs so they fill the arches better :D Someone has pointed out these springs on here and they don't seem a bad price, but no idea on handling etc.

Thanks guys. I'll have a poke around the Jorily site for the parts I need.

Anewman,

I wanted to stay close to the original overall wheel diameter to keep the performance on an even keel. But within the original diameter I wanted to fit as large a wheel as I could. The rims I ended up with (off eBay) are Autec 16 x 7,5. I fitted them with 195/40 Falken ZIEX ZE912 tyres.

The rims are wider than the tyres and so the sidewall inclines a bit - I would've needed 205 or 215s - but I went with 195 because coming from the original 165 the extra grip was more than enough. 205 or 215 would just be added resistance, hampering performance and fuel economy for no good reason.

Dealers no longer stock parts for favorits

I think Parkside do

I get my parts from Ebay, Jorily, Partco and my local Skoda dealer.

I cant remember if I've used Jorily but also on Ebay i've used a seller called Deutschparts.

Nice Favorit :D

Thanks for the kind words, Sisko. :) I love that thing.

I've ordered the parts I need from Jorily. They don't seem to stock panels, though. The only place I've found so far that sells the LH front wing panel I need is Butts, but I don't know about the color ...

Don't know if this is of any help Skoda Favorit 1989-1995 (135l/136l) - Panels and Lamps - Imperial But if you contact Jorily using his contact details he can generally get hold of nearly everything (even if not listed on his site) - so should be able to get hold of a wing I would think. And I would guess any wing would be just primed ready to paint :)
