Workshop Manual

Featured Replies

Hi, anyone got a Fabia workshop manual. I need to do a bit of tinkering to sort some gremlins on my Fabia. Only bought it Saturday, so I've no good sources yet.

You wont find one. Workshop manuals are like hens teeth it would appear, but dont stress too much as there are a few "in the know ;) " guys here so ask away.

Aftermarket manuals (e.g. Haynes) don't exist, because "there's not enough demand". You are unlikely to find a genuine Skoda one because VAG are paranoid about keeping their "trade secrets", and only supply them to dealers.

How times have changed... many years ago I had a copy of the genuine workshop manual for the Austin/Morris Mini, bought over the counter from my local BMC garage.

The good news is that there are a lot of knowledgeable people here on Briskoda - just ask away.

[Edit: Should've read Andy's reply first....]

Thanks guys. My car has been repaired - by experts I'm told. However, the original owner who wrecked it didn't attend to a knocking in the engine, so the engine has now been replaced. Seems I have a number of electrical probs. The car is an 02 Comfort 16V.

Power steering light is on. The pump seems to be working, but I suspect wiring damage - haven't had time to crawl under it yet to poke around.

The aircon condenser was not refitted after the bump, so a single fan was used. The rim around the blades is split. I can get either single of twin for the car. Can I install the twin set and only connect the engine coolant sensor for now, or will the second, idle, fan cause too much drag?

Apparently the reversing lights are working intermittently and the tail light on one side is not working. Have swapped bulbs, but that has no effect.

I'll get there in the end. By the way, anyone need a Classic 1.4 16V engine, circa 20k, as delivered?

Please don't scoff just yet.
