Skoda UK, in an email I have, have described Anthracite Grey vRS as a 'limited edition' anyone any ideas what (apart from the colour) is special to make this limited?

New limited edition of the Octy vRS will be a 'run 'out' version similar to the Fabia vRS SE last year and will be on sale from January 2009.

Extras included as standard for the Octy vRS SE will include Anthracite Grey Paint, Jumbo Box, Dual Zone Climate, Cruise, Maxidot, Full Leather (with limited edition number embossed into the seats), Multi Spoke 18" Alloy Wheels (similar in design to Oz Super Turismo's) and Xenon's (I think?).

The new facelift version of the Octy vRS wont hit the showrooms till Summer '09 so the vRS SE is technically a 'run out'.

Ah well, perhaps you should buy that wide angle lens instead. I can personally recommend the 17-55mm Canon, f2.8 all the way and it has IS. It is a C sensor fit only you couldn’t put it on to a 5D or 1D, but it is a lovely lens.

Er they are not cheap (£550+ I would estimate), but they do have a bit of 'L' glass in them, just not the heavy duty body and seals.

Yeah!

Maxi-dot appears standard on the antracite grey limited edition. Every one in Skoda stock has it fitted.

No, the LE hasn't even been announced to us yet, so prices are not known.

Although they might have access to them/stock, They'll be impounded until Skoda issue prices.

This could be next week, next month no one but the higher beings in SUK will know.

As you say you cant hold off too much longer, I'd get onto your local major dealer who MAY be able to sort something if you commit to a purchase rather than risk you walking.

UNLESS that is they have a large stock pile they have to shift.

So is the limited edition not the limited edition? I'm Confused maxidot com. Either way it will be outside my house in 2 weeks all being well, with a few after market toys....

Is it me, or does the colour look like VW's "blue graphite" (LC5F) colour?

I'm definately seeing blue in with the grey and - trust me - that colour looks fantastic in person.
