Yes, though the need to have a new car in the immediate future, and not being able to wait another 8 months, was the reason I went for the exisitng model.

Anyone seen any of these cars, or heard of the specs, as I have been told by my Skoda source that my car "has 18" wheels like the normal vRS, but more spoked". So this sounds like the limited edition?

Well, despite the car having been at Grimsby since late Novemember I have just found out that the dealer has only just 'called it on'. This si due to the lease company taking 3.5 weeks to actaully send them the order! So another week (that means after New year though - I guess) until I get it.

And still no idea of what it looks like, was told of 'more spokey wheels that the standard ones', by Skoda Uk rep.

Anyone seen one - there were at least 25 of them together, apparently.

i saw another one on the dockside the other day, will take a closer look for you and check the wheels. will take some photos if they have more spokes...... cheers....

i have been a bit busy, wot with christmas and all, but i got down to the dockside in grimsby today and saw at least 70 vrs special edition in grey. yes they do have multispoke wheels, couldn,t get close to them yet cos there in a compound so couldn,t get any more specs for you. i did get a picture of one tho if your interested? if and when i pdi one i will get more pictures......cheers....

I saw those wheels on some related literature a while ago when the spec was being decided, seems they don't look any better in the pictures here.

Thanks Fireblade, hopefully mine will be one of them, certainly they had descibed it as 'Limited Edition' and had a minimum of 25 hatchbacks available when I enquired in Novemeber (or at least had hem on order that is) and soem at docks by late Nov.

Like Stu I am not entirely sure about whether the wheels are better than standard, but they are different so that might make them worthwhile

I'm guessing 500 of each seeing as we've only seen a figure of 500 being reported.

Oh dear god - those wheels are gash - I've been waiting for a pic of one of these in the flesh... they look so aftermarket.

I'll still reserve judgement till I see a picture of a whole hatchback after pdi but looking at it now methinks I'll be ordering a standard Anthracite model.

They may look better when the centre caps are fitted.. From the pic it looks like there should be some. Not holding my breath tho!
