grey vrs!!

Featured Replies

Mine is arriving in the next few days, though is not an LE, just Antracite, so presumably taken out of stock and not 'converted'. In two minds as I wasn't happy with the wheels (was trying to convince myself that I liked them!) and thought the leather seat centres look like the cheap 'back massager' devices. I already liked the vRS seats, so wasn't too sure about full leather in that style.

That's my theory - a 19k car in this climate would sell slower than the Furby LE did in 2007. Have to cross my fingers and hope... Still don't like the wheels tho, but we already have 4 vRS's in the company car park and would like something a little different...

Well, even if you didn't get the LE car, yours would have the newer (and better) facelift interior :)

But the 500 LE cars, as 2009 models, get the uprated interior; don't they?

Yes, but I'm guessing the other ones already in Courtster's company car park don't.

Anyone have any info on whether the RS and Scout will eventually also get the facelift exterior?

It's true, whatever happens I'll be able to lord it over them with the Anthracite colour and Bolero stereo with SD card reader ;)

July I believe :)

Thanks. Maybe we will see them at Geneva along with the Yeti :)

According to the Skoda people at the Essen Motorshow, the LHD RS will have the exterior facelift in May.

Dont know about the scout.

The Fabia certainly went well and I too think this model won't be as desirable. My local dealer sold their Fabia ration in eight weeks. Interest remained strong enough in the model for me to sell mine for a decent price 7 months on as well. I'm not going to be rushing intto a deal on one of the Octavias although I may try and get one for a couple of days to see if i can be tempted.

Isnt anthracite only on the VRS LE? Can you order a plain VRS in it?

Or indeed a non-VRS, by the look of it.

Mine is a 'plain' vRS.......................

Anthracite Grey, vRS, with MaxiDot. Clearly just from the same stock at Grimsby, but without the wheel change and seat re-upholster.

As I said in 2 minds :

1. Haven't got something so different, but have the different colour

2. Have the Zeniths (which I think I prefer) and haven't got the Halford's back massager leather seats

Or indeed a non-VRS, by the look of it.

I know that, as my 07 elegance is Anthracite ;)

I though though, that anthracite was only an option for the UK on the LE as a run out colour. Many other countries have had this option for some time now.

Well the brochure on the skoda-uk website suggests it's just another colour for Octavias. The only colours that seem to be restricted are Race Blue and Sprint Yellow which are only for the (regular) VRS.

It's sat outside my office now - looks very good in the bright winter's sun.

As it was from the stock (though not 'convereted) I can confim the LE will have the 2008 interior. Indeed the catalogue says 'based on the old Octavia vRS)

That's ridiculous if true. It's considerably more expensive yet it's not even 'up to date'.

Clearly says "Based on the existing Škoda Octavia vRS"

Does it have the 2009 mirrors like the cars in Grimsby?

A bit like the Fabia vRS SE then

not really no ... there wasn't, and still isn't a 'new' Fabia VRS to outdate the mk1, whereas they're trying to sell a limited edition octy vrs whilst simultaneously pushing a revised model with an update interior. That's how I see it and I don't like it.

Its the new limited edtion last of the line be for the face lift comes out. It has leather & the face lift interior, multi spoke 18s & the gray paint.

Interestingly the original car featured in this thread - the one that was being PDI'd - has the 2008 mirrors, and the ones sitting in Grimsby have the 2009 mirrors...

So perhaps fireftrm's VRS is a 2008 model like the one (or actually the one) in the first pic and the ones in Grimsby have the newer interior with the mirrors...

Indeed....................

Indeed....................

You said the brochure said otherwise.
