Cheesed off!!!

Featured Replies

This may seem trivial, but I'm annoyed and in need of a good rant...

There's a stornowaycruise show and shine on Saturday, the first one in months. Since I've got another Fabia since the last one, I'm quite keen to show it as it's a nice car with a few personal touches, and I enjoy detailing. Sad maybe, but there you go...I find a good sense of satisfaction and acheivement through it.

Tomorrow being my day off college AND work (a rare occurrence!), I was keen to get it looking mint. This involves putting the car in our garage, as the weather up here is ridiculously unpredictable. Now, I still live with my parents (for the time being...) there's three cars in the family and a tiny driveway for the single garage. So it's musical cars whenever I want to do this.

Anyway, to cut a long story short(ish), our boat came out of the water on Saturday. How does this relate, I hear you ask? Well, I just nipped out to the garage, and the garage is chock-full of cr@p. Trailers, generators, toolboxes, all kinds of stuff that largely isn't even ours so I cant shift it anywhere!

I asked for the garage space, to prepare for this event, over a week ago.

Frustrating when carefully-laid plans go to pot eh?

Can you avail yourself of any friends/relations facilities?

big tent needed me thinks

At the end of the day it is your parents house so they can do whatever they feel like.

If it's so annoying you could always get yourself a place with a suitable garage.

This is what we use! (as a detailer!)

Take that weather!

I have visions of the OP starting to put that thing up in Stornoway, and finishing putting it up in Lochinver (about 50 miles NE)! ;)

It cost us £475 about 2-3 years ago.

Bought it from a 'shop' off ebay. Pitstop or something they were called.

Weighs a fair bit! Not one of these cheap blow away jobs. Obviously in strong winds we wouldn't dare put it up!

That's the plan, applying for marine engineering cadetship so hopefully off to Glasgow in January.

Might consider it as a cheaper alternative to Highland Airways or Calmac Ferries...
