Quite a few days old actually.

From what I understand Skoda are not building current shape Octavia anymore but also are not going to build the facelifted Octavia until W51, so if you want a current shape Octavia you can only have what ever is in stock.

Of course the question everyone asks me is what does the facelift look like...

Like everyone else I have no idea, unless someone has found something out in the last day or so.

From that site (click the X at the top right of the flash presentation to get to the rest of the site)...

Advanced technology

The technology featured in the new Octavia is amongst the most advanced found in modern cars. The new Octavia is available with five petrol and three diesel engines, and a range of manual and automatic gearboxes.

This includes a revolutionary DSG 7° automatic transmission system, specially developed for the 1.4 TSI/90kW (122 bhp) and 1.8 TSI/118 kW (160 bhp) engines.

Perfect fusion of technology and design

The new features and layout of the interior emphasise even more the feeling of comfort and safety. The Octavia now offers a completely new generation of three and four-spoke steering wheels, radio and navigation systems, available throughout the model range.

The instrument panel is a great example of progressive, elegant design, well arranged with soft, touch-friendly surfaces. White LED illumination provides an elegant contrast against the black instrument panel while the traditional green under-lighting of the rest of the electronic components creates a sound combination which does not act as a disturbance when driving.

The new materials and colours of the seats and the lining of the door panels correspond to the most modern trends, as do the new decors of the instrument panel for each of the trim levels

The new Octavia’s engine displacements and outputs cover a wide range, meeting the needs of every customer. Petrol engines range from the 1.4 MPI/59 kW (80 bhp) to the top class 2.0 TFSI with an output of 147 kW (200 bhp). The Octavia’s diesel offering includes the choice of two turbo engines with an output of 77 (105 bhp) or 103 kW (140 bhp), or a common rail fuel injected two-litre turbo-diesel with an output of 125 kW (170 bhp).

Cool! Thanks for that.

I find it ridiculous that you guys knew before I did what the facelift car will look like, I'm not sure why Skoda try to keep us in the dark about these kind of things.

Yeah, doesn't suprise me though.

Do like the look of the facelift though - very smart indeed!

Does anyone else think Arctic Green is seriously cool, or am I just being stupid?

The new model definitely has power folding mirrors. Also has MDI connection for proper ipod / usb integration and the same climatronic controls as the superb.

Edited by wega3k

Also has "dog **** lights" in the mirror ?

I like it - looks a little s-class to me ?

Small scale Superb.Thank god they kept the rear lights as older one

you cannot see the smile on my face!!!!! i was waiting for this day many months!!!!

Will the VRS version be available straight away???

Or will they be doing the Scout with the 170 CR engine???

has the link died? I've just been automatically re-diverted to:

?koda Auto France 403

So have I,

I hope they use the seats from the Superb and do away with that hard stick out bit on the side of them where the adjuster is

Haha, that's pretty funny, they've realised their **** up. Only remaining trace is ?koda Auto France redirect - everything else 403s now.

What was on the page before? A full rundown of the facelift? Pity - wasn't up for long enough for Google to cache it either; I've just checked :)

It was majority of the micro-site for the new model. Lots of pics and spinny flash nonsense.

There are some pics on here in another post, taken before they realised there mistake.

Here we are,

newoctyfrontub6.jpg

it looks a bit like the superb from the front, i guess the grill mod will have to be the first thing to get done

My dealer told me (about a month ago after a meeting she had) that the vRS would be 'a few months' behind.

cheeky monkey, youve pinched the pic i uploaded to imageshack yesterday

Yes, sorry
