Dealer memo - Factory order book closed for pre-facelift cars today

The first link works for me now. It does look nice on the outside, but they can keep all that plastic wood on the inside, it looks horrible.

There is a piano black and silver trim also.

Folding mirrors from a button on the ignition key - very small gap coming up, reaches down to fold in mirrors, and woops the cars stopped :thumbdwn::confused::D

It will probably depend on what the spec is as to what trim you will end up with, rather than a choice.

One questions remains - will my existing OEM Bluetooth kit work in the new model ?

I'm going to be so annoyed if they only let you have the Amundsen nav in the Octavia and don't let you have the Columbus any more.

Of course for official photos and information you can always go to ?koda Auto - Homepage ...........................

skoda-auto.com has been dead for me all morning.

Nice to see the Ipod proper connection. The top range model in the French website looks nice, It will be interesting to see what comes as standard on lesser models and of course I would expect a hike in prices.

so im screwed on vrs with lots of options i was bout to order?

I talked to my local Skoda dealer in Belgium and he told me that the Octy I that is still sold here, will be replaced by the actual Octy II. The new Octy II will be sold at a higher price rate and the actual model will stay in its price range.

Nice move to get the prices up

saw some offical pics this morning. certainly take allot fromt eh superb. the grills, dash pod, climate control, steering wheel and a little bit from the front lights.

the rear bumper looks like the sport bumper too

very nice looking, im gutted i wont be here to sell them.

:confused:No mention of updating the Scout yet ? :(

ive just been in my local dealers this morning and the salesman in there said theyd heard no octy VRS until 2010 in the facelift version!!!!!

thats my plan stuffed if its true but I took it with a pinch of salt as he didnt know anything about the pics for the new octavia.

rather annoyed that the dealer I've been speaking to, who knows I'm looking to order in next week or two, has not mentioned this.

The spec of vrs I wanted included a lot of options, so I'm presuming unless there is one with the same spec already built, then no dice?

I suppose this also means that there won't be a special edition run out model too?

I heard there will be a runout version of the RS, and I have seen some documentation to support that.

I also heard that the new RS will be 'later' than the other models so I assume much like the Fabia this is to try and plug the gap.

Seems they are being a little trigger happy though, just been reading about the new GTi, no longer vailable to order and the MK6 due in the summer 09. So no performance models for either VW or Skoda although VW do have the 'rocco.

Best to make your enquiries sooner rather than later and 'reserve' one if you can find one. There may be one already in the production que that you could have changed by special order but you'll need to be very quick.

My dealer said 'a few months' until the vRS comes out after the facelift.

Do you reckon the run out version will get a power increase Stu?

Sadly no.

It will be either white or grey with numbered (1000) leather seats and 'unique' wheels.

IIRC it was £3300 of options (inc Cruise, Leather, Maxidot, Xenons, Rear Parking) for £1k premium.

Steering wheel is rather ugly :thumbdwn:. The ipod thing is cool, and so are folding mirrors, hopefully electric . Dont quite much dig the new family grill, bit parroty. Old was better.
