Rear Strut brace for a Fabia?

Featured Replies

I've done a search on here (and google) for info about getting a rear strut brace for the Fabia, but so far i have had no luck finding any info.

My previous car (SEAT Leon) had a custom made one fitted and it made a notable difference to the stability and handling of the car, so when i sold it on i made a point of removing it in the hope it will fit the Fabia, but sadly the brackets won't fit the shell like they did on the fabia, however the bar itself is the right length to do the job, so i'm hopefull it can still be done.

If anyone has one fitted could they please advise me on where and how it is fitted to the car and i can start looking to source the appropriate brackets.

Cool, i'm off to find the Forge website.....

From what I've learnt, you'd be much better off spending your money on an anti roll bar.

Its something i'm looking at in the future, but i already have the rear brace and know how the benefits from my last car, so it will be a cheap mod while the credit crunch is upon us ;)

It will be getting fitted one way or another...

the rear ARB works, but the rear strut made a notable difference in addition - I had the rear ARB on for ages.

The Strut (on the leon) made a good bit of stability when driving along and getting hit with crosswind, as well as tight corners and mini roundabouts. Its been underestimated by many who have never tried it. The ARB is something that can wait till my cash is more freely available.

I said it would get fitted one way or the other....

Its only temporary for now, but i have a plan to get it fitted more permanantly in the next few weeks.

Not driven it anywhere yet to test it, but i'm sure it will work as well as it did in the Leon.
