1st pic is in a dodgy alleyway outside my dentist in belfast (odd but i had to go there today:thumbdwn:)

2nd pic i decided to take a wee spin round the ferrari/bently garage and got a quick wee pic

3rd pic is of the newly painted red grill i did this afternoon

4th pic is the car with the painted grilll back on:D

cheers for lookin:thumbup:

the wee red rocket is in the body shop getting its roof resprayed black after falling in love with the black vinyl i had on it:thumbup:. Also getting a front splitter on and (hopefully hopefully hopefully) getting :Dcoilovers:D on it which are meant to be sent today so hopefully ill get them in time for the body shop to fit them. iv did a wee bit of a boot build last week for a very small system (2amps 1 sub, headunit, front/rear speakers) didnt want it to look chavy:thumbdwn: or take up much room. so ill update everyone with pics as soon as i pick up the car. :D:D:D:P

had a small question about modifying your headlights (black effect). im not to sure how its done but it seems to be sprayed black round the outside of the unit just behind the lense. i had a search but i cannot for the life of me find it:eek::confused:.

any help would be appreciated loads.

cheers:D

Sorry about that, it's one of those days.

Regarding the headlights, have you seem this thread?

http://briskoda.net/items-wanted/special-edition-front-lights/124761/

seems you can only get them for fabia before 2003. mines a 2005 so i think i might have a bit of trouble trying to find these

nice one dude, I just had my roof done and it is the best thing i ever did. You only getting the roof panal or you getting the top of the spoiler done as well?

As for the headlights. I don't think anyone has sprayed them, i brought mine from the bay. the story behind them is that there standard for the VRS in all countrys except for UK. I am currently in Slovakia and been in CZ at the weekend, thay all have the black lights. You can get a good set from ebay for about £100

what year is your car? all the ones on ebay are for up to 2003 only but i dont understand why the fitment is any different to a 2005 model. im only doing the roof panel. i wrapped mine in vinyl before and found a preffered mine with the spoiler in red. but the black spoiler does suit yours i just find that having the red spoiler has a nice contrast to finish off the rear of the roof.

ah good good can't wait to see it.

mine is a 2004 04 plate. the fitment thing is rubbish.

so basically if i buy a set of those ones on ebay they will fit? i dont see why my model is any different to a 2002 model?

thanks mate that would be brilliant. are they hard to fit or can you whip them in and out for MOT's?

As above.

I sprayed mine.

PICTURE!

Not too bad to do at all.

I just rushed mine and it looks a wee bit crap close up.

If you take your time doing it, it will look spot on.

Looking forward to seeing your car out of the bodyshop!

that looks really good mate. did you do a guide on this? taking the headlights out should be ok but is splitting off the lense no extremly hard? iv never done it before but i wouldnt have thought it would have been to easy

Sadly i didnt get a guide how to do it.

Was in a bit of a rush before the sun went down the day i did it. Ha.

I used a hair dryer to heat up round the lense and then it will slowly come apart.

It just takes a bit of time.

Once the headlamp lense is off take out the insert to be painted.

Think it was two Torx20 screws that held it in.

Sand the chrome off the inserts and paint.

Heat up the black mastic stuff again round the lense and put it all back together.

Job done.

Thanks mate thats nearly as good as a how to guide. taking the headlight out isnt too hard is it? iv heard things about having to take out the bumper but i dont think thats essential. it would help the look loads and loads on my car
