Engines....Trim levels....Doors....

Featured Replies

....according to Auto Express there are 47 different Ford Fiesta's and 69 Focus's....Why so Many.... ....Oh!!!!!!!!!! and 53 different Vauxhall Astra's.

5 different engines, (for example) 5-6 trim levels, 3 & 5 door!

5 x 6 = 30

30 x 2 = 60!

Not that bad really! I bet most skoda's aren't far off!

Why so Many....

So consumers get a choice for the thousands they spend, we dont want to be driving around in the same cars do we?

Now multiply that by the number of offered colours. ;)

ISTR that someone once worked out that there were so many different engine, brake, trim, body, colour etc options on the 1966 Mustang that every one of the 100_000 cars made could have been unique.

and how unique transits are possible...

don't forget the Focus comes in 3 & 5 door hatch, saloon, cc and estate versions. not taking into account the transmission there around 25 types of mk2 Octavia hatch available
