Bumper and spoiler should be arriving from the Czech Republic early next week, these will be straight in to paint. Been thinking about getting the whole car blown over with a metal flake laquer maybe?

All you need is 'Paris' Concept in mind...

 Yeah I know that....:P

I was refering to making a fast estate version of the Fabia...

I guess I didn't need the boot space. ;)

Its because you cant buy one ;) No one else is daft enough to build something you could get off the shelf :P

Update:

Car is now on a set of Fabia vRS wheels and is rolling. Going to bleed the brakes and clutch, with Castrol SRF Racing brake fluid...

Then, just the interior to sort out and some decent wheels

Alex

Sounds good Alex

Steve

Can't wait to see this! :D

Progress Pics would make the thread alot more exciting buddy

Sounds like its gona be nice ;)

Take it your leaving the headlining cream?

  • Author

Photos would be great, but soon as i'm working on it most evening in the dark, it makes photos difficult. Will try to get a few in the daylight soon, and yes headlining and all trim above the dorcards will the cream and everything below there will be vrs black

Got the car up and running today, bled the brakes, refitted the dashboard, fitted the shark fin aerial, fitted the modified washer bottle for the water injection, trial fitted the Jetex carbon airbox (requires some attention yet) and then got rained on!!

It's looking good.

Lookin' good

No EGR bypass planned?

Steve

It is bypassed, but in a more OE looking fashion, or atleast was until it got modified for water injection, it has had the jet fitted, a boost outlet (-3 JIC) and then has been bored through for more air flow:

Update:

Car now driveable, of sorts... Got a minor issue of the heater matrix pipe not sealing at the moment, but new one and seals being ordered tomorrow. Hopefully this will fix it.

Looks very low on the coilovers at the moment, standard vRS rims are in the arches, looks good but not very practical, hell who cares!!

Bumpers, spoiler, grille down at the paintshop being painted, will be back tuesday.

Sat nav stereo, amps etc wired and fitted.

Carpet and seatbelts in, centre console and dash, steering wheel etc fitted.

Still to do:

  • Modify Milltek to come out of back of car, currently too short!
  • Finish fitting water injection pump
  • Fit seats, and arrange leather retrim
  • Window tints
  • Fit bumpers
  • Remove door strip glue and badges, refit vRS badge to rear
  • Fit bumpers and spoiler
  • Take to Jabbasport for custom remap

Sorry for lack of pictures, but want to keep things fairly secret till its finished, also bodywork dont look too good at the moment, needs a few hours with the buffer!

There will be plenty of pictures when it is finished, hopefully in the next week or two, I can't wait!

I tweaked my Blueflame from my vRS to fit under the estate after some convincing with a grinder ;)

Decided to NOT make it come out from under the car and maintain the stealhy look (at the back). The main benefit appears to be that less of the soot makes it up to the rear window that way.

Looking like it's coming together very nicely :)

They can be a right pain at times, stupid design.
