Well, After this weekend's weather, I'd like to pose this question:

Pollen Filters. A good thing?

I go for option 4..........

I find the filter useful, especially when used with the air con, I suffer from hayfever and find I can't drive with the windows open around this time of year and not get a bunged up nose and itchy eyes.

You missed the last option - "A PITA - stops you getting a decent airflow through the car"

:D

I personally have no use for pollen filters, for which I am eternally grateful to mother nature as hay fever looks like a really nasty thing to suffer in such good weather. My sister, on the hand, does suffer abdly, and when I give her lifts etc in the Summer, I find it quite amusing as she can travel OK and randomly swears at the fields full of rape seed oil for making her summers so horrid

I love them filters, me! As a hayfever sufferer i welcome anything that stops me having to sniff , sneeze and blow my nose!...altho im fine just now , its whatever gets shot of its pollen around june /july time that does it in for me , anoyingly around the same time as the British Grand Prix , where i have spent many a miserable weekend sneezing my bloody head off and sniffing all day whilst my mates enjoy them selves...I watch it on TV now!

Hayfever doesn't bother me, but after seeing the accumulated crud on the old filter when I had the car serviced last week, I'm glad it's there. I wouldn't want to be breathing in that muck!

I wouldn't want to be thought unkind to hayfever sufferers - I do get it VERY occasionally, but I'm not sure the pollen filter in the car makes that much difference to the overall experience - I don't spend my life in the car - only about 3 hours a day.

Achooo!

Where is it? I think some cluch dust (after a burnout in the sand) sits there and the car stinks :(

Otherwise a good idea I guess.
