Stickers

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I know this should go in the wanted section, but I thought it would go un-noticed!

Any leads on how to obtain the skoda sticker that runs across the back of the car under the lights???

I am about to respray my estelle, but like the sticker! The other option is to mask over the sticker and leave it there!

The other one is those supprising skoda sun stips?

Thanks

Lewis

:o I think you may have asked me this on RR, but I don't remember replying! Sorry mate!

You need to talk to Jorrilly, if he can't help try Skudupnorth, he posts on here and RR occasionally and more often on Skoda-forum.com...the link to there can be found on the Owners' Club site in my sig. Also try Skofast [John Shelley] on the other Skoda forum and Chris Pepper from Peterborough that skorob2007 on here often recommends.

I think you'll struggle to find one TBH.

If you struggle to get one and can get an image and dimensions give KTP a shout http://briskoda.net/members/ktp/

I believe Keith makes up vinyl's for a living

The Sticker was added by the British importer after the cars arrived and isnt available apparently. Easiest thing would be to get one made up as has already been suggested. In fact you could probably sell a few if you got more than one made which would help cover your costs!

Thanks for the information all!

I might see about getting a few made, but might try masking the sticker off for the time being!

I too suspected that it is unlikey that i would get one!

Any gen on a suprising skoda sticker?

If you manage to get one, get me one too, and half a dozen hens teeth, large bag of rocking horse poo and book me in for a fog platting lesson

What do 'surprising skoda' stickers look like? I have just finished clearing my garage out today and I found one sticker rolled up, about 3" broad, blue with white 'surprising skoda' lettering across it. Do you have a pic of the sticker you want so I can see if mine matches what you are after?

They're designed to fit at the top of the windscreen

It fits, but the ends are square - not curved like the shape of the windscreen.

Also the writing seems to be on the 'outside' as if perhaps it was a dealer sticker to put on the OUTSIDE of the windscreen?

TH

Ok thanks all!

Tail - that sounds like the sticker. The ends probably need to be trimmed once on the car, but i am supprised that it is an external sticker!

I'll check again tonight to make sure if it is an external or internal one.

TH

Stick it on the inside and give people something to look at in their rear view mirrors :D

OK - update time.

Upon checking it IS the sunstrip - the removable backing is not covering 'sticky' as I thought, but acts as something to hold the strip whilst you position it. There is a small square marked where the rear mirror cut-out is.

What I am seriously concidering is taking it to have EXACT copies made at a place that does these stickers. If the price is reasonable, perhaps there would be interest in a group buy? Let me know if you would be interested in one so I can gauge interest.

TH

Interested!

OK. 1 - lewist123

To muddy the waters I found a green one just the same, but with just the word 'Skoda' in the middle which is flanked by two 'old school' winged arrows. I am not sure what vintage this type is.

Also I found one rear panel sticker - the long one. Again I will ask at the shop about making some up. We all need these I think. Sadly, I remember a time when it was 'cool' to remove these stickers.

TH

I would be interested as long as they are a decent price (like about a tenner).

Not much interest? I do need some idea whether there would be any demand at all - I am hoping that they will be around the £7 mark.

TH

:) I'm definately interested, probably need several!

I wonder if these would only fit the estelle and rapid screens, or if they might fit the Favorit etc?

:)Just to clarify, the stickers I'm interested in are the rear panel ones.

Anewman.....Estelle and Rapid screens are different anyway so I would think the SS sticker is fairly universal.

Ah so they were stuck in Favorits. Hopefully not sacrilegious to put one on a Mk2 :D I too would be interested if ok price like tenner.

Pic thanks to Skudman on skoda-forum.com

OK - I will see what I can do. Sadly, the sticky on mine has gone stale, but it will be a good template. Thinking back, I sold on eBay one of the Skoda rear reflective 'sport' strips - like on the 130 which said 'Skoda' and was a thick affair held with two screws. That was a rare item.

I've got about 20 of them sitting in my office at home.:):D:P
