i had another random mentalist thought today

vw lupo dashboard in a felicia?:)

anybody?? or is there something better and cooler??

A Favorit dashboard would be a direct swap, but I think the Felicia one is better. The Favorit dash came in a black and older ones a peculiar brown colour but if you're going as far as swapping a bit of a clean up, plastic primer and paint etc would get it a different colour. Halfrauds currently have Foliatec primer, paint (dark blue and white only), and sealer for £3 a can - reserve online and 20% discount here Welcome Here's my practice spray up of a spare window winder handle I had...

audi TT dash!

I very much doubt a Lupo dash will fit. It's too narrow for a start, let alone the dash mounting points. As anewman says, a Favorit dash is a direct swap as the Felicia is just a heavily facelifted Favorit rather than based on a VW group platform.

since when has wrong mounting points or something not fitting ever stopped me:confused:

RIGHT! I want to see photos of that car with an ASTON MARTIN dash fitted! Failing that, cos to be fair I know AM's don't lie in every scrappie, I'll settle for a Ferrari dash.....

Sounds like a plan...............

Always fancied a 90's Passat or Corrado dash myself.

For an easier project and unique touch Ive been thinking about modifying the existing Felicia dash with a bit of glass fibre-will save messing with the wiring if I keep the same switches, my soldering aint the best!

Check for something the right width.

I know the VW boys have managed to get TT dashes and an entire TVR interior into Corrados (I used to work for the same company as one of the CoupeHaus members), but the critical point is that the dash panels are the same width.

Oh and it happens to us all sometimes; I found myself wondering about the possibility of getting a Hayabusa engine into an Estelle last week.

The dash from an Audi A6

Nice work Anewman!!! Those window winders look exactly like Felicia ones :D

ok, send me a ferrari dash and i'll do it

I think a Lupo dash will be too narrow - get the tape out Tom!!

I agree though, TT dash is the way forward! :)

A bit off topic, but the Mk1 "City" Golf has a Fabia dash. :)

Good call, dude. OK, I'll just get some of the local lively lads to sort me a Fezza - any other bits you want while we're at it? :)

i have been offered a mazda RX7 TWIN!!!!!! turbo engine. i know the standard RX7 enginr goes in!!!!!!!!!!! huuumm ideas!!!

anyway back to dashes. i have seen the TVR in the 4x4 raddo and i have seen TT in a mk1 golf.

still think TT is the way to go.

Would the Felicia dash fit in the Favorit easily with minor modification? How do the speedo and rev counter all connect up??

There's a thread on it on www.skoda-forum.com Not sure if you need to make 100 posts there first to see it though

Here's a quote of the most useful post so far though, by "skodarew"

i tryed this on my first favorit, the favy clocks and lower half can be re used as there is no point in creating work by removing it , change the heater if you want the controls different. i painted the top half of the dash to match the car (bright orange tongue.gif )

wire connectors need changing to suit felly switches, especially on the steering stalks

unfortunatly most ,if not all mk2 favs have black interiors and the felica has a dark grey or light grey as far as i know. felly door cards can be fitted to with handles and winders from felicas

the trim panels would be a nightmare i found as its a hidden clips rather than the favorits blatant plastic popper thingys. and the C post covers are a different shape.

a very nice interior

So doing it would probably fix your heater problem if you swapped the heater out too. I imagine you'd need the whole lot, the blower box, and the heater matrix - would probably be a big job though.

as it happens, i have a lupo here :rubchin:

What's up with it?

Could it be a possible runner before you toast it?
