Rev counter

Featured Replies

I'm sure i read about this prob elsewhere but i can't seem to find it. The rev counter on my felicia has decided to stop working until the revs hit a certain amount then it goes up to 3900 ish and slowley creep round to 4500 ish and stops. Before i throw a rev counter at it any ideas or has anyone else cured this prob. cheers all:thumbup:

I have the exact same problem!

Have had the problem ever since I bought the car.

I have tried a new dash pod (for another related problem) and then I tried putting a new rev-counter in but it still does the same.

It has worked properly a couple of times but apart from that works exactly as you describe.

I have even tried piggybacking the wire direct from the ecu and to the connector to the rev counter behind the dash but it still didn't work so can't possibly be a broken wire. I'm at a loss as to what it is.
