Pacific Blue?

Featured Replies

Anyone here seen Pacific Blue on a new Superb?

Was about to order a Greenline in Pacific Blue but then realised I actually have no idea what it really looks like.

Is Pacific Blue nice? Or rather what colour Greenline should I order?

I think pacific blue is almost the same as Race blue........I once owned a Felicia Pacific ( V reg ) from new and it was like the new race blue colour. Hope this helps Andy

Not seen it, James and I can't find any 'real world' pictures of it either. I've got the colour swatch, but that's about it. It looks to be a very dark colour, even darker than storm blue.

I saw a cappuccino beige one the other day, and I thought that looked really nice. A bit like steel grey, but with a very definite brown tint running through it. It's not as dark as steel grey, though.

You could always play 'stick the pin in the colour chart' to choose ;)

Well I was going to order a white one but then I ordered the white Octavia vRS Estate thinking it would sell quickly and it's still here so I thought probably best I don't order another white car just in case.

I hadn't thought about Cappuccino actually, it's a colour I quite like and it doesn't offend anyone so it appeals to everyone, where as I can see people not wanting to buy Pacific Blue because it's such a dark colour or it may show the dirt more.

Cappuccino it is then!

Oh no! Now you'll blame me if it doesn't sell :D

You can get a pacific blue Roomster. Is the Superb Pacific blue different??

i think pacific is very dark. almost black isnt it.

there again i dont like cappucino as i think it is too dark and will be a bu**er to keep clean. storm blue is the same. the darkest i would go is steel grey.

isnt ordering a greenline with metalic a risk ? will people be prepared to pay the premium for a metalic colour on what is supposed to be a "budget" version of the superb ?

I don't think the Greenline is meant to be a budget version of the Superb, I reckon it will be quite a popular model and we'll sell more Greenlines than Superb S.

It'll probably be a demonstrator and it probably won't actually turn up until December 2012 anyway.

I think you are talking about Mocha Brown, Jonathan. Cappuccino Beige is a very light colour. I've attached a picture for your viewing pleasure :)

EDIT: I've just noticed the exahust in that picture is quite big. It looks like someone actually ordered a V6

WHOOPS -my mistake.i shall blame the noisy 2 yr old who is with me as i type !! think i discounted it as beige just makes me think of old men's cars (no offence to anyone !). just couldnt bear to own a "brown" or "beige" car !!!

just looked at the pic again......and i hate to say this but its actually quite nice....although if i was presented with a real cappuchino that colour i might send it back !!!

will you look at that exhaust - thats obscene !! looks like one of those boy racer drainpipes often found on modified corsas !!!

I am thinking of getting a Superb Greenline and I want to keep costs down both in purchase and fuel.

Not decided on colour yet but first choice would be Pacific Blue and then Candy White. I think its a rip off that manufacturers charge £300 to £400 for metallic. I would rather spend the £400 on other options such as Park Assist and Bolero 6CD.

What options are you ordering on this demonstrator and when will you eventually sell it, I might be interested in it

I know, it's a colour that's grown on me too, especially after seeing it in the flesh. As for the exhaust, there's another one the same size on the other side as well. Very boy racer.

I wanted to order white myself but thought it wouldn't be the smartest move as I'd get the blame it is didn't sell too quickly! Plus being a demo we'd probably sticker it up at some point and they usually come out better in lighter colours than dark. I've ordered it with rear parking sensors and that's it.

We will have to keep it as a demo for 3 months and then sell it on. But it won't turn up for ages yet.

I agree, however, there is a lot of body to paint for £400!

yes but they still have to paint the same amount of body with the non-metallc paint. i cant beleive that metallic paint costs more that non metallic. its just a scam to get more money out of us !!

I can see how it might cost more, but £400 , as you say jcb, it is a total scam to get our money :thumbdwn:, but in most case's a car does look better with it and people will keep paying for it

If you go for the blue get one in SE or top spec, it'll yak on the base models, needs nice alloys to bring it out, that or do a dealer fit.

Quick answer to OP, Yes. My 140 TDi Elegance in Pacific Blue arrived today and it looks top notch. Well chuffed because I was a bit worried about not having metallic but to be honest it would have been a waste of money. None of the pics of Pacific Blue on any Skoda site do it justice, it's a really nice dark blue and looks very smart.

Can you get some REAL pix of it up here soon?

Would love to see some 'real' pictures of Pacific Blue. Not seen one yet and is one of the colours on my short list.

Congratulations on getting your new car, hope you are pleased with it
