Any more news on a date for this yet?

If it's all the same for everyone else the weekend of the 17th and 18th January would be perfect for me. It's the only weekend that I'm off in January.

Any news on where and when?

Is it 4wd or 2wd only? Could bring the S2 or Octavia but either way I'm up for a meet. I wonder if I can get the turbo, injectors and manifold bolted onto the S2 before then.... probably not wise am I'm moving house!!

Well guys,

I popped over to SeatCupra.net to find some info on this & they are wanting to know if this is going ahead too. Someone wrote, that this place in Sheffield that was to host this RR is no longer purchasing a set of rollers.

I was looking forward to having a local RR day for a change:(

has this rr day died a death, or is it still on??

There is one at JP Autotechnics out Anston way, but its not a top notch dyno...and from a previous rolling road day i wasn't totally bought on the readings.

Some cars were making figures they should have done, but a 3.0 MV6 Omega put out daft reading of 240 ponies for a standard unit!

There only 207ponies to start with!

If you need a hand with the S2 shark give us a shout mate!

It doesn't look like it will be on at all. The place that was to host this RR has fallen through. I did suggest someone else local that would be willing to host the RR day, on the thread over on SCN where this idea was born from, but that was over a month ago & nothing else has really been sorted out or mentioned since.

I would strongly recommend avoiding JP Autotechnics if you want a sophisticated and accurate RR.

Btw what happened to the proposed one at Racing Line (Halifax).

BUMP:rolleyes:

What about RS in leeds? (Site sponsor aswell) heard good reports

I might be up for this, I have been to a RR day here before, it went quite smoothly. They also arranged one on here a bit back but i don't think many people turned up.

A new thread might be an idea seeing as this one is suggesting a mid January RR day and it's now late January!

Hiya guys, yes it dead. A death of all pains too!

Basically the garage decided to not to purchase a new 4WD unit, and has since moved anyway so its deffo a no go.

However....

I have organised 3-4 RR days in the past just up the road (youve already mentioned it) at RS Tuning in Leeds, its all of abour 30/40mins from Sheffield, they have just got a new 4WD system in, and I know Paul (the owner)

I will start a new thread about a feeler, but basically the idea is simple.

Shoot-out, Seat v Skoda... the tag line... you game?

Same engines mate ;) Besides I have a PD130 thats available in a Skoda, several infact...

Also much like the Awesome shoot out it wouldnt go on MAX BHP, but how close you can guess your own bhp,

So do Seat owners know what bhp they have, better than Skoda owners?

That means you can put down you are expecting a million bhp or five, but your only fooling yaself, and will loose!

Of course you could always compete on boot space rather than BHP,

unless a shed-load of Alahambra's turned up, the Octavias would win it for Team Skoda!!

:P cheers .. Darren

Or Altea's or the new Saloon ;) However thats unlikely isnt it! So yes, we wont be going on boot space.

Saying that, I reckon I have more space in my boot than a octy does ;)

Do you think you guys could find 10 or so Skoda's interested in loosing to us seat boys? :D

That is a different day, aka im not organising that one im afriad, so cant comment on the price.

However needless to say, if I do set one up, with RS it wont be any more than £35, but has a better chance of being less than their RR day ;)
