Help with Skoda Favorit Wheels!!

Featured Replies

I am looking around for some wheels for my skoda favorit but i realize i dont kno the lug pattern for the skoda favorit. Does anyone know the lug pattern for the skoda favorit? and what is the maximum width wheels that can fit on a skoda favorit without widening the wheel arches/wells.

Immediate response would be well appreciated.

Thanks!!

I think it depends on the year.

Earlier Favorits may have had a 4x98 stud pattern and later ones had a 4x100 stud pattern.

^ as above.

4x98 for the mk1 fav up until late 1992, and early 93 onwards mk2 version were 4x100. offset is between 35 and 45, and you must be careful because if you go for too big an offset you will hit the strut.

if your car is not lowered you can go quite wide (like 8") but if your car is lowered you will need to think carefully before going past 7j, or even 6.5...

Thanks alot guys. I own a 1995 Skoda Favorit Glxi with 14inch BSA rims on it right now.. Intend to change it to 15"*6.5" or 16"*6.5".. Supposed i intend to lower it about 2.5 inches using the regular struts with lowering/cut springs. Would the 16" rims be too big and rub on the plate on the strut housing the spring?

Frankly, if you want to lower the car 2.5" by cutting the springs, I'd worry about the prospect of the springs lifting out of their seats on big bumps with standard length damper rods.

15/6J is the biggest wheel i'd use. and on that i'd use a 195/45 or 195/50 but no bigger.

My '93 Favorit has a 4x100 pattern. I think 7.5 is very near the limit; I have 16x7.5 fitted and clearance between the rim and the strut is barely 1.00 cm

4x100 is the same stud pattern (if memory serves corret) as an old shape VW beetle. In which case you have alot of choice for bigger wheels. However and I cant empahise this enough if you are swapping wheels PLEASE PLEASE be careful that your wheels bolts have the corret taper and fit flush against your hub, please also check that the nuts go on enough on the thread.

The Favorit and felicia has a 57.1mm spigot size so some 4x100 wheels centre holes may be a bit small.

Old beetles are 4 x 130, same as the estelles and rapids

The anthracite Enkai 6 spoke is the only one that even might fit; the other 2 both have 5 hole hubs!

All of the above rims are also made with with 4 x 100 lug pattern.

I like the one on the right in the second row. It matches the style of the Favorit´s design. They kind of look like mine:

Your car look real good. those wheels fit it well. Might i ask what size wheels are those?

Thanks, man. I'd like to lower the front end just a little, though, but I love the way it looks.

Mine are 16" x 7.5" Autec rims. Clearance between the inside of the rim and the strut is about 7 mil.

Tyres are Falken ZIEX 195/40.

get the black type C SSR

^ what pinky said.

and you'll not really be lowering it with 16"s on. that will Fail.

"The Tank", can your wheels fit in your fenders? or are the 7.5" too wide for them to fit without rubbing the arches?.. dont mind me being all meticulous.. i jus dont want to go out and buy wheels that cant properly fit my car.

Thanks for the optimism. :D

Flipper,

I'll do some decent shots of the wheels so you can see how much they protrude. I believe they're in line with the arches, but with the tyre side wall being so low and only 195 wide - narrower than the width of the rim - I have no trouble at all. Nothing touches. I can thrash it all I want.

:D The pictures would be well appreciated.

i had 195's on a 7inch rim. its a stretch and i wouldn't want to get any closer to the arch or the shock.
