One very cold Friday morning at RS Tuning. :)

Mods: Blueflame turbo back exhaust (200cel cat), K&N panel filter and Forge DV.

I think the weather helped a tad considering we were realisticly hoping for 220bhp. Temp level was fine i think and was even slightly low on boost.

Hope the engine doesnt go pop.

seems to drop of rather quick though dont you think???????:o (torque)

sorry but if im interpreting the graph properly, its hit nearly 280llb/ft torque???

is it a mk1 vrs?

is it a mk1 vrs?

i assumed it was under this section...i want to go on this rolling road fancy a trip there trevor

:thumbup::rofl:

yes mk1. think boost was about 16-17 psi.

(just noticed the time, was afternoon but at 0 degrees felt like morning hehe).

is it a mk1 vrs?

It is in the Octavia I section :)

dont mean to be rude but i think those figures have been pluked out of thin air.........:o

is that the only mods ????

just wanted to confirm as ive never seen a mk1 on standard turbo hit anywhere near that torque but a mk2 that would be possible, i think they have done the graph wrong there cause somethings not right

Yup only mods, think the cold maybe made the dyno slightly exagerated?

lol weather wouldnt change it that much mate...... i would say 215bhp and 240 torque is more realistic

that map is poor there is no way a mark one with just them mods would produce that much torque and power running standard:O

well i saw the graphs as they came up, other runs showed 241bhp and 222bhp i think. Did a few tests on the road aswell and temp was fine etc. hopefully Paul can come on and confirm. =-)

I suppose a RR somewhere else may show some conclusion.

i think the thing is all rolling roads are guestamates anyway aslong as your happy and i can guess its made a huge differnce then who cares

p.s how good does it feel now( are you still smiling)

i must say from experience that fully modded i.e front mount all the bolts on etc standard turbo will rarely see over 260llb/ft,

i know that the difference in a remap before and after will be night and day, so as long as it drives okay enjoy,

yes total difference, and drives fine. can easily wheel spin in 3rd if i plant the loud pedal to fast but im getting used to it. We knew it shouldnt produce that and were pretty stumped why. Graph is pretty smooth and peak torque falls where peak bhp kicks in so feels fairly smooth to. Need to drive it more though to make full judgement.

thats all that matters as the graph is a load of tosh..

enjoy the the pedal of speed lol

I got 263 ft/lbs on these rollers back in may but only 217 bhp with same mods but only a generic map With intake temp of 30 degree.

Dyno dynamics are reputed to be one of the most accurate RR's but i agree that the bhp does seem high.

Enjoy the extra power buddy ;)

p.s Jaymd's made 274 ft/lbs on the Awesome RR back in September so i suppose the torque figure must be reachable?

yes it drops quickly but it peaks very high and is still reading over 200ft/lb at 6000 rpm

its not the bhp so much even though that is high too, and 263 on a generic map sounds very high indeed
