New bolts on subframe

I lowered the subframe to change the arb and have jkust noticed I should have used new bolts. I torqued everything up correctly and the old bolts looked ok will this be a problem.....Cheers

I would do the same, different on head bolts etc....

It's not as though they are stressed is it?

The torque settings will not stretch the fasteners :)

Most of the reason VAG say replace the bolts is not because they are stretch bolts but the green coating thats on the bolt. This is not loctite as some people assume if it a protective coating. The bolts are steel and for most applications these days either bolt through or into aluminium. When steel and aluminium are together there is a reaction that causes corrosion. The coating helps with this problem to bolts dont get corroded into places.

Only I hope you didn't use green Loctite to match the colour of the bolts - that might cause you problems - only joking (you didn't use green stuff did you?).

IIRC it was either blue or red. Having several ways to heat the bolts if needed, makes no difference to me...
